So im just wondering, where did you get YOUR desktop from?

My main computer I got a good deal on through iBuyPower.

I'm actually planning on building my own gaming PC around the price of $1300-1400 having the components bought from local eCommerce stores. Well, that if my IM journey is successful. ^_^

Normally buy direct from Dell or Apple

sometimes through Amazon if they have the same PC

I always check BradDeals first though for coupons for the major sites just in case.

I build them in my sleep after 24 yrs as a B&M computer store owner. Components from hardware distributors.

With direct marketing of non-ISA throw-away boxes by most major manufacturers I think coaching/advising computer purchasing a moot endeavor.

I ordered components via few online stores and assembled my self. did research on internet before buying.

I dont feel like being limited to shit parts by manufacturers to save on costs and then being marked up 300% from the best parts.

Self build for the missus but as far as I'm concerned a simple Vaio laptop is fine for myself. I don't game and as long as I can run basic programs I'm happy.
This one is 4 years old. It works so no plans to change it just yet
