How legal would it be to pic up a local directory and start calling people to try and sell them shit ?

I imagine they have to be scrubbed first so u wont get in trouble for calling a do not call list.

Maybe trick them into submitting their phone number and on the disclaimer you include you have right to call them anytime you want ? No one really reads the disclaimers anyway.

when i did telemarketing i called everyone and when ppl say im on the do not call list, i simply say sorry it didnt show up on the database. So yeah u can just call down the list on the white or yellow pages.

If your going to do that, go grab a pre paid phone with fake info. Then you can't be traced if there are any legal implications.

But... are you sure this will work? I don't want to make your idea bad, but think about the many callcenters and how people react. Well, but try, I have no experience in that field and can only tell about my assumption.

What I would try if I were you is posting an advert in a local newspaper pointing to an aff link (possibly redirected via your own domain).

I mean something like put up a website offering an incentive, for just submitting their email and phone number and address. Put a disclaimer saying they can get shit in their mail and phone. And there you have it 3 different marketing opportunities.
