Hello,

Well I have recently came across number of auctions on Flippa claiming high verified revenue from adsense

One of the recent example is,
https://flippa.com/2884525-pr2-3000-month-adsense-education-site-no-reserve

If you read the description obviously the only thing they are selling is the method as the site is not SEO optimized.

Would appreciate if some expert shed light on it and figure out what method they might be using.
Thanks

Did you see the comments below the listing? everything seems tricky. We all have learnt one thing over so many years is....don't mess with adsense

i advise you not to waste your money on this, the method work on very short term (paid traffic usually). adsense will shut them down soon

He's click jacking sent traffic, without a doubt.

Says he never got a payout from adsense because he hasn't received his pin number, yet he also claims his site has been making money since April 2012... so ehh that doesn't add up.

Well ya I am not planning to buy it but people are bidding like crazy I seen similiar sites going for $3000 + and this one for $1051 - 43 bids

Well just another proof,

This guy in banking if not from adsense then atleast from flippa.
verified adsense + video proof

This is a new trend on Flippa. Sellers are purchasing or creating throw away Adsense accounts, click jacking all the traffic to create large Adsense revenue stats that will never get paid and then selling the site before the Adsense account gets banned. The new buyer purchases the site and doesn't make a dime or worst yet they immediately install their Adsense code and their account gets banned.

Anyone can purchase or make fake Adsense accounts and hammer the ads creating large Adsense numbers. No rocket science here. Don't bid on one of these unless he can prove he's been paid many months in a row. All these scams show the same thing - NO PAYMENT ever made from Adsense and the excuses are similar and all BS.

Got to love the video though - 18% CTR and still able to log into the account. That account is on borrowed time.

Ya I have seen 2 or 3 sellers doing the same thing over n over again.
But even if they are doing it Flippa verified stats shows the average of last three months so in order to claim any decent money they have to plan at least 3 months ahead.

Flippa always seems to have sites like this listed. People create a crap website, then send a bunch of traffic to it. Of course, they end up getting ridiculous adsense profits, and then they're able to sell the website for absurd amounts. Smart buyers know that its a rip off and avoid the auctions all together. Foolish buyers spend huge amounts buying the website, only to learn afterwards that the type of traffic is shady as hell. If they actually try to do this long term, their adsense accounts get blocked, and the only one who makes money is the scammer.

That assumption is false. The API takes the total revenue during the last 90 days and divides it by 3. A 2 week old site that can generate $4500 in Adsense clicks will show Verified Adsense of $1500 (3 mo average). That doesn't mean it earned a dime last month or the month before. It means in the last 90 days the Adsense total is $4500 which Flippa then divides by 3.

Also if you notice his video on the second listing you'll see prior Feb 1 unpaid earnings at $0.53 cents. That is what the site earned in January. When Adsense pays it pays in full if over $100 so to have a 53 cent balance shows he didn't meet the payment threshold and only earned 53 cents for January.

Which leads me to believe Flippa is no longer taking the 3 month total at all and dividing it by 3 like they once did. If you look at the 1:28 of his video you'll see his Feb total was $1261.91 which rounded up is the $1262 Flippa is showing as a 3 mo average. It looks like Flippa is no longer taking the 3 mo total and dividing it by 3 for verified Adsense calculations. I know for a fact they still do this for Google traffic calculations. but looks like Adsense they're taking last 30 days and saying it's 3 mo average.

His stats are real, but he will never receive the payout. I have tested a similar method, it's BH and I was making all good money, until the day that I activated my payout, which is when they check if your earnings are legit or not. Then they hit you hard.

The owner of his previous sale, and the winner of his current sale will probably never receive their check/cheque.
The person selling the site will get refund requests/disputes and a ban maybe on Flippa.

Well that's the case with Flippa I have been trying to buy some legit business and everytime I do some due diligence there is something fishy.
