Site with PR 8 . Only 2 backlinks. I don't understand

I found the site below that has pr 8. And only 2 backlinks. How is this possible? How did he get this Page Rank?

It's PR is faked it's not hard to do.

Just to be sure, ....

I checked it's compete traffic. So low it's not even listed aka. less than a few hundred hits per month (USA).

Also checked SEM RUSH, according to them it gets ZERO search traffic.

It's a garbage site. No PR , No Traffic, No nothing.

It is a fake PR, no site can become a PR8 with 2 backlinks, you need hundreds of high quality backlinks from authority sites.

I have found a site can have high pr based on the links it did have, some sites will loose a lot of links in a short time eg they go out of business. The pr stays in place for a little while and then disappears.

Yeh, how do u "fake pr". Unless it was the case that all the old links that made it PR 8 was 302 redirected to a different domain.

Google is notoriously slow (if not random) about updating PR.

I would dbl check using MozRank...
