What Most School Dont Teach !

Everything is coding. Even a cook must know the right amount of recipes and time to produce delicious food. One way or another way, our brain is coding and decoding stuffs that we do in our daily lives. Our brain is the Master coder and decoder but now we can learn something that brain created. It is really nice video and inspiring. I am not a coder but have visions.

Wow great video, thanks for inspire me, I used to code a lot before but stopped it years ago

Great video! I love coding and self-taught myself since college. Unfortunately I'm way behind now :(

But When Coders Get Idea = Billionair eg : Mark,Steve Jobs , Bill Gates .....

Cheers,
Nik
coders with ideas dont make them instant billionaires. it requires dedication and the right connection to the right people as well.

Lots of brilliant coders have briiliant ideas but they gave up already before they made any success.

if let's say Zuckerberg wasnt an American and he was born in some poor 3rd world country, maybe he wouldn't be where he is today. It would be hard for him to get connection to silicon valley, connection to american tech companies, and all that. Maybe he would still be rich but still not a billionaire. Life is not only about ideas and skills, it's also about social connection.

Our schools don't want us to think. They want us to be sheep and all look alike, think alike, poison our bodies, and get "jobs". That's why us entrepreneurs laugh all the way to the bank, because we realized there are two kinds of people in this world. Leaders and followers. Masters and slaves. Never call another man your boss. Use your damn brain, think for yourself. I see it all the time on this forum people expecting to be "told" what to do how to make money. Don't be a sheep. Be the wolf.

I have never learned programming at school.. I learned everything by myself. I started programming when I was 11 years old.. and today (i'm 21), I'm teaching programming at school for fun.. I have had a chance to earn a lot of money and meet awesome people around the world. And only think that I should thank is programming, w3schools.com and myself.

I just want to give you the biggest THANK YOU that I can.

Earlier today I brought my 4 year old son to get his flu shots and the doctor noticed our son talking about computer stuff a lot "Let's hurry because I want to download something at home" or something like that. The doctor asked how long he stays in front of the computer and I say I have to drag him away from it everyday. She, the doctor, then gives us this really bad look and says "you really should limit time on the computer to one hour a day" which, incidentally, was what I've been trying to do for weeks. The tone of her voice couldn't have made her thoughts any clearer "that is bad parenting."

I've been at a loss for weeks about what to do about it. My son always loved educational games so I thought that there was no harm in letting him play with that. I don't want to seem like I'm bragging but I think my son is quite smart; he learned to read at 2 and a half and has no problem reading books for 6 year olds.
I never ever considered having him learn code. It's perfect if you think about it. Code is like a language (or shall I say "code is a language") and what better time to learn a language than at 4 when you're brain is primed for learning language.

I let my son try that app for kids on code.org and he loves it. This could be the first step to what may be one of the most important things he can learn in his life. I don't know if my excitement is misplaced but I feel good about this. Still got to keep him away from too much junk on the computer though like angry birds or whatever no doubt about that.

Anyway, thank you again. I didn't even feel like clicking on this thread but did anyway because 'what the hell, why not.
' Didn't think I'd get inspired like this. Now it's time to see if what my son can do in a few more years...

Cheers to letting your kid expand on his natural talents and likes...By the way do not pay attention to that arrogant ass hole who
thinks they can look at you and judge your parenting skills.

Just the fact they think they can do this makes them immature and overly nosy.

Find a new Doctor ;) lol

Cheers,
Unclemike

Don't let your kid waste too much time playing games. It could become an addiction and in return years will be lost.
I walked this path and i regret the time i wasted, i wish someone pointed me in the right direction.

Learning to code and how computer and internet works are valuable knowledge these days. Also hacking(messing with the code) is a ability i enjoy even though i'm not that good at programming.

But everyone doesn't find it interesting or enthusiastic, and no one should force it on anyone. But i do agree to having a computer science class in evey school and let the kids decide for themselves.

I am so thankful for BHW, here we have the opportunity to meet
life on our terms and secure ourselves financially.

I had 70 students in my class and just 1 student failed in Computer C++ Programing class. That was me.

Few years later....

I started hiring coders, 1 of them was actually my classmate.

Even if you are not a coder, feel proud to say, "I am the CEO bitch... "

I think your missing the point.

To disregard having an education is a big mistake. Learn from the system and then you can bite the hand that feeds you. Also, keep in mind the billionaires you see here essentially won in an economic lottery and many had parents with deep pockets. So my message to you is aim high but when you fall short have a backup plan and an education can only help you through the valleys.

Good luck to all!

Perfectly phrased!

Without ideas, not enough to know how to write code. In the world there are many people who can write code, but not all achieved the the same as Gates, Zuckerberg, Jobs.

I'm a medical practionner and I'm an advanced .net coder ! I like these types of videos, thanks a lot !

If every high school student was required to learn coding, this would be a damn productive society.

What Most School Dont teach is " CHEATING "
