Mind Reading Science Fact? Check This Out

They will track your movements and your thoughts. You won't be able to escape them. If you don't pay the tax man, all that money you owe them for all that untaxed income, they'll know about it, they will extract this from your thoughts. You better be prepared to start some serious mind/thought calming meditation.

Reading implies one of the people is not giving up the information willingly or trying to. This only works if both subjects have an implant. Consider a cellphone in your brain.

I do not like one bit how uncertain our future appears right now.

Never before has there been such a clear outlook on what could be a real and tangible future that will either be beyond incredible, or on a level of cruelty and pain we can only fantasize right now.

With technology we can either remove nearly every single one of our ailments, or we can induce conditions that are so unnatural our existences will lose meaning.

I see absolutely no day-to-day benefit of being able to read or communicate telepathically, except responsibility and morality avoidance.

They already have machines that can pretty much create images of what you're thinking. The machines we know of and see and are being implemented in medicine/therapy are old, even though what they can do is incredible.

We already have the ability to read thoughts, memories, dreams. We can measure desires, impulses, pleasure and reward cycles.

Now imagine if we have that capability in a device we can use and transit data to and from someone else.

Think about what we do with proxies now. Imagine if your brain was turned into nothing more than a proxy.

This does actually have some very practical and pretty much, some of the most useful applications.


A person is disabled, paralyzed from waist down. Can't walk at all. They could potentially have their legs amputated and replaced with robotic ones that interface with the brain chip. While it's not exactly the same impulses used, it's possible that one can be developed with relative ease.

Another disabled person... This one is mute. Hook it up to a vocoder and now they're good to go.

Another disabled person... This one is deaf. Hook up a microphone and then broadcast to the implant. Good to go.

SEALs, SWAT and other groups that are in hostile situations can use this to communicate silently and over long distances. Perfect silence.

Similar to the first, games can be developed to aid in training for doctors.

In a crash or have an emergency? No need to try to get to a phone. You can call out using your brain.
