Hostgator servers down

Hi Guys

Anyone else experiencing high levels of frustrations with Hostgator the last day or two . There servers were down for about 2 hrs yesterday and now their are down for 2 hrs so far today and they don't know how long more it will take. They put messages on all the websites saying it was scheduled maintainance.

Have they been hacked ?? . Anyone else experiencing problems with them yesterday and today

I have about 30 clients on my reseller packages, they are going mad.

I got a email from Hostgator about they update all the servers right now!

Sites finally back up after 5 hrs . What a crap service. I will be pushing them hard to waiver my reseller fee for this month

They have this and yet, they had an offer a few months back when godaddy was attacked. Wht don't godaddy give a similar offer, when HG is down. I signed up for 6 months for just $0.01, but they started charging me very 2nd month. Not at all a good experience with them.

Just like, if they do it's maintenance, if their rival do it's they are crap.

EDIT: I guess it's better to go with a host sold on BHW.

it seems hostgator service is cracking down alot lately

They still down? I was considering using their hosting for my blog since the feedback seems to be good, but I don't know now. If they are down for so many days, it is not good.

Why would they be hacked? They put a warning they are doing maintenance.. no need to make drama..

One clients site has been down for a little over 20 hours now for a "hardware upgrade". No ETA has been given, just that "it'll be up when its up". Kind of distressing considering that they said they'll be migrating the data but didnt say if that's their first step or last... No idea what kind of data loss they'll be causing due to unreasonable extended downtime without reason...

This is for a dedicated btw.

I think they are pretty good. They have only gone down once for a couple hours for me since I've signed up. Their support is unreal so that is why I'm with them. I have their reseller hosting BTW. I am with a couple other hosting companies and hostgator blows them out of the water. Even if they go down for a couple hours a year the positives outweigh the negatives.

i dont think this problem was with sharedhosting - gator has great uptime no doubt
