[BST] Post limit increase for the Marketplace section

It's often to see memebers with low post count leaving review for a service. Good or bad these reviews are less significant and by some can be considered legit but others (sellers maybe) could try to gamble the system and leave positive reviews, bumping their own thread.

It will be little unfair for members that are here only to buy and not for being an active member but I'm saying little unfair because they will still have access to the sales thread, contact info and everything else that makes them able to shop. And since he can't post in the sales thread, if something goes bad with the service provider or the service he is ready to open a Shitlist so that won't be an issue.

Considering the BST section gets bigger day by day with couple of members that we don't know that well, I think it will be better with this rule. I haven't thought twice about this (so shout out your opinion) but at the first thought it seems it's better with this rule than without.

A limit of 30-50 posts to reply in the marketplace forums think it's enough.

Why limit who can post in the BST? That's just stupid. Limit the review copies to jr vips maybe but not allowing someone to post a question or anything in the BST section just because they don't wanna post here is silly. All that will do is get even more worthless posts made by people just trying to increase post count to get what they come here for in the first place. Not everyone comes here for help or to help, many come here because of the BST section and that's it.

If someone is serious about doing business, they'll build a solid repution, then make a BST thread. That's how it goes anywhere, online or offline.

Quite frankly, if anyone objects to this I feel like they have criminal intent.

Why would someone that just needs to buy something here once in awhile want to waste time answering threads just to build up posts? Last I checked this thread wasn't talking about people OPENING bst threads. It's about people replying in the bst section. So please learn to read before showing your a*s.

Btw online "rep" means jack as plenty of scammers have taken the time to build up rep on forums only to turn around and run off with people's money.

But you're objecting to this, and there's not really a reason why. Not being able to post in the thread wouldn't prevent someone from buying. Online reputation means plenty. You'd be surprised, it's a small world. Besides, most people looking to steal don't take the time to do things that require work. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but that's not the issue here.

If someone can't post their question, so what? Have them ask the OP. Simple. They can still leave itrader, and post in the shitlist.

There is no reason to object to this, unless you have bad intentions.

Well its good idea but what if any new member with few post buy the product/service and wanted to post review ? i dont think its a good idea it will become like some other forums where member force to get XX posts before they able to post in certain section of forum , i think the best could be some kind of verification system if they really opt the service or bought the product but again it may expose there privacy 1st problem 2nd BHW have to have dedicated staff only for this bst section is quite big overall i dont think its a good idea to implement

Well, I know that this is practically not possible and if we try to implement it, then we may require plenty of man power, which is not reasonable, but having said that I for one would always support such a step. This will bring clarity and fairness in BSTs. Most of us know that there are a "few" sellers who resort to illicit means to increase their reviews. This can act as a deterrent for such sellers.

I think its a good idea but honestly I'm going to have to disagree. I don't think its fair to limit someone based on post count. Heck, there are a lot of members here with 3+ year old accounts and <50 posts.

I think maybe you should meet one of two criteria 50 posts or been a member for 3 months. (3 months just an arbitrary number of course, could be more could be less)

What do you guys/gals think of that?

Recently every bst gets reviews handed out in jr VIP, and they post a 10/10 review on the thread when it goes live. It'll be like, " OP gave me a review copy, and while I still haven't seen a serp improvement, this is a solid service and OP is a great guy to do business with."
Thats the first ten posts in every thread now!
I know that people may feel obligated to be nice since something was given to them, but it feels like there is little substance to the review sometimes.

I know that people may feel obligated to be nice since something was given to them, but it feels like there is little substance to the review sometimes.

I'm something of a lurker but I have seen that trend and it's why I dont really use any services if I haven't spoken on Skype
