Hey guys, after my great success in micro sites (specific niches), Iv decided to go for the greatest challenge of all... Create a huge authority site (competitive niche). I started this journal because i think its the only way i can keep working hard on the site without giving up easily.

OK so lets get started:

Iv earned a good $10,000 from my small sites over the last year. That should help with SEO on the long tailed keywords im going to rank for in this authority site. If you wondering why im not continuing creating the small sites the reason is because its just too much work with seo and all the on site content and lets not forget Google penalty's . I would rather have a huge site that Google will love instead of the small ones which can go down at any time.

The other reason why im focusing on this site is because i absolutely HATE university, im only in first year and i cant stand it. So hopefully this site becomes successful (earning more than $50,000) a year so i can drop out ASAP.

Ok so here's what iv done so far:
  • Bought the domain name
  • Created the site logo
  • Created the site design and scripts.

My next task is to:
  • create a plan for posting articles on the site. Im going to be the only person who writes the articles for my site because i only want the best articles and not spun crap.
  • Get a PR of 4 or above (any tips on this would be appreciated)

If you have realized, i haven't wrote anything about off site SEO yet... This is because i want Google to choke and gag (lol) on my unique content before building any backlinks. It also makes my site look really natural which is what i want.

So far I have gathered around 10 really good keywords that together have around 50,000 exact searches. The competition is really easy for all these keywords so i will target these first in my articles. By this time next week hopefully i will have around 10,000 words on the site.

To be continued...

NOTE: To keep the thread tidy and easy to use, I WILL POST ANY UPDATES REGARDING THE SITE ON THIS POST (OP), and answer questions using posts bellow.

I've been planning to start an authority site for a while. So hopefully this will be a great inspiration for me.
Best of luck with this, I'll definetly follow your journey.

good luck OP . pls can someone tell me how to follow this journey , thx.

Sounds like a good plan, just one word of advice. Test out article writers while you're building your site up. Writing 10'000 words a week gets boring! and when your site reaches a certain size you'll want to focus on other things such as monetization and building business relationships. Just a thought look forward to seeing if you manage to get 10'000 words done in a week!

all the best in your success! I will be following you mate^^

just a question, how do you expect to get PR4 if you dont build backlinks? You said you didnt talked about off site seo but asked for tips to improve PR thats why I am asking. as far as I know, you get PR from backlinks.

all the best!

Nice buddy. I am also interested in building a website. Looking forward to your updates

Thanks man, I am actually 301'ing some of my small sites contents to this new site since its the same niche which is around 5000 words in total. I still have to write 5000 myself. Im just scared to hire a writer becuase most of them just spin the same crap which defiantly isn't healthy for a new authority site.

I think you can only edit your post for a certain window of time (48 hours?).

That's one of the reasons why BST sellers use text images in their posts (other than making it look nice). If you embed an image in your post that you host yourself, you will be able to update the image with additional text.

Cheers!
