CJ - gives you crap Images and you have to apply for multiple programs and its a pain in the ass -- I made like $300 there and left.
Clickbank - its a generalization - but Clickbank products on the whole are below average quality wise - and alot of their Sales Pages look like a 2 year old made them with an etch a sketch -- so yeah people make good money with it - but they pay by check as well.

I would actually do content locking and get paid every 15 days with that - I have made roughly $30k in that - and I promised in the other thread I may get back into it as well - and start a new thread on that ... but its not happening soon - as I have quite a bit to do in the next few weeks.

Heck - some of the CJ people take longer than Amazon to pay you - they put a 60 day hold on earnings and all kinds of stuff.

I made the most with the UFC Store on there but even that wasn't anywhere near as much as Amazon ... come to think of it - Amazon is way better than CJ in my opinion.

CJ was just a example for my point to diversify, it could be one of the thousands aff programs...

And i kinda like CB if you stay out of the IM products (high refund rate) you can make some decent $$$ there

Well I'd agree that Clickbank is probably the most profitable thing to do - if you have a good method for it .. with those commission rates anything is possible.

But it's just not for me - I'm not going to promote things that obviously aren't very good.

Is there any copyright infringement if we get images directly from Amazon stores? Any recommendation/s on where to get stock images?

you can use Amazon's images for products but I would recommend Istockphoto or 123rf for Articles etc

........ just type stock images in Google and click go - you will find a tonne options

Keyword Discussion Additional :

I just wanted to add one more thing to the Keyword Analysis : you also have to consider what your average rank would be.

For example if your not 1-5 then your probably going to get zero traffic - with 1 and 2 getting the majority of the traffic ... so this too has to be included to your search volume calculation... as to what you should be looking at.

Danny, I'm curious of why you are against using Google Webmaster Tools, and by that you are probably also against Adsense, since you said "I have as little to do with Google as possible"

Is it because Google are trigger happy with affiliate / reviews sites in general? It's too bad, I would imagine that combining Adsense with Amazon & something like CB could become a decent cash cow if you do everything right, but then again I've heard about people getting banned from Adsense with no reason in the past..

Unless Adsense is your main target income on a given site, is it counter productive to use it in most cases?

I'm asking because while I'm well aware about Google D-linking spammy / pushy websites, I'm thinking that when you build REAL long term professional websites with HQ unique content, chances of getting punished by Google are slim?

It sounds to me like you, black hat or not, aim to build top notch quality websites, and I just don't see why Google would punish you for that?

the answer to this was something I had in my first thread.

I am laser focussed at buying keywords - and sites to sell something -- and I am looking for $20 $40 $60 $80 $100 Sales -- I don't want my traffic clicking off to some random Google Ad that pays 60 cents.

As in the portfolio there are always good days and bad days -- so I can't afford to miss the opportunity for every large Sale that comes along.

Lastly for the same reason I don't keep sites that don't sell for Seo Purposes - I am trying to keep these sites as trouble free as possible - because its longer term income for me.

Don't forget that you can build your portfolio anyway you want - and set them up how you see fit - I'm just giving you what I do and what the return is --> if you think you can do better than me - then that's no problem -- we all would love to see new threads showing us better ways to do things.... heck money is money so the more we all make the better right .... anyway if you do - decide to do it differently give us some feedback on what your average per site is so we can compare..... all the best.

My autoblog average was $30 a site .. This way is $100 a site .. Hoping for new ideas $150 a site ???

Are all you sites around $100 a site per month ? It looks like I have my expectations way too high in that case.
One of my sites will be around $20-80 comissions with 2700 searches, for $100 a month that'd be 5 sales a month.. I got a feeling I'll be getting more than that, but I guess time will show.

I don't think you guys still understand something that I seem to mention very often -- its just skips right past you.

Every Site does not sell things every single month 12 months of the year -- they sell more at certain times of the year than others. So a site may make $400 one month $50 another month etc

When you look over the whole year - across my whole portfolio then the average is $100 a Site.

You cannot build 1 Site or 5 Sites and be successful at this - you have to have 10 Sites in non related niches so that you can get somewhere. Once you have 10 then if one niche sells well you can add more in that niche ... again this is all in my previous discussions.

Another point I've said 100 times - you want to go back to the Stats - like I said those numbers are not that accurate - they are updated like twice a year.

Then you have to factor your absolute search position -- and also these are buying keywords with a conversion rate attached --- so the numbers might say - yeah I'm going to sell 20 a day but in reality you might sell 5 accessories for $10 -- and every 4th day you sell something that earns you $15 ..... I am dealing with Real World numbers not - something that someone says is accurate.

These are all things that you have to deal with and test/tweak etc -- which is why I never add new content to sites that don't sell -- I milk the good sites the best I can and weed out the bad.

Anyway I feel like I have covered this aspect of this business extensively in the 2 threads so it's up to you now to work with your sites.

After looking at people's sites etc - alot of people now seem to realize to make something that is friendly to the visitor

BUT the one thing that sticks out to me - are some of the worst niche selection choices that have been made.

I certainly wouldn't be investing in them --- the number 1 reason my belief they will fail is that they are targeting much larger areas with no focus ----> so what that means is your going to be doing Seo forever to get anywhere - plus your going to need more content as well.

Anyway I guess we will see in a few months

Though I have a question for the "Add to Cart" Cookie. I know that this cookie lasts for 90 days. My question is now if this counts only for the specific article or the whole purchase(s) within the next 90 days. Additionally, will this 90 days cookie be overwritten by another normal 24 hours cookie which could come from a different amazon affiliate site?

I currently don't know if I should try the "Add to Cart" Cookie on my site?

Accesories are 1 page in a list and links -- with some discussion -- you absolutely need this on your site

Yes I have my first site - it is in the greatest niche ever - which I made a couple more sites about

90 day cookies require someone to click to add to their cart - vs the other one where you just take them to a page -- based only on my experience and nothing else - the 24 hour cookie is more effective ... I've seen selling Amazon products say it works better - but that may only be marketing hype.

Please remember - to take whatever money you make and use it for something more sustainable - as using this method once Blogger catches onto you - they will just delete your blogs .. whether it takes 1 week or 3 months.
