[SUGGESTION] Improved Banned members Section

Hello all,

I have seen several members getting banned lately and over time as well. The suggestion I am proposing is that we add a banned members section(which I know there is one) however it isn't updated often. However, this section would contain the members profile link and possibly their skype and/or email. This could be implemented to help new members and even seasoned members avoid being scammed by members who have been banned once or countless times through numerous accounts. I was thinking something like this:

Banner User 1: Link to profile : Skype/Email ID (Optional: Length of ban)
Banner User 2: Link to profile : Skype/Email ID (Optional: Length of ban)
Banner User 3: Link to profile : Skype/Email ID (Optional: Length of ban)

Essentially, you get the idea. However, the only thing that would NOT be included is the reason they were banned for. That is private between moderator and user and does not need to be disclosed. I would even volunteer some of my time to update the thread if the mods needed a little extra help(not saying that they do) I am just offering my help.

It seems like a solid idea and will overall prevent a lot of other members from being scammed. An example of that, user BeingAkrant was recently banned and is still trying to contact people through skype.

This is such an unnecessary use of resources and is not practical at all. Updating that list would be a full-time job on it's own and would not prevent scams (not everyone would read the thread if they got contacted by someone).

There are obviously some "high" profile bans that make users think BHW is a scam-haven, but in reality, it's no worse than other forums. It's definitely better than Warrior Forum where members are allowed to scam and you can't complain. There are also numerous members banned on a daily basis. Just because someone is banned from here for breaking a rule (e.g. being rude a moderator) doesn't necessarily mean they should be named and shamed. I don't really think it's fair for someone's name to be blacklisted just for being banned.

Scamming is one thing, breaking the rules is another. The shitlist section more than covers for scammers IMO.

Actually, we discussed posting the REASONS why the members were banned. Which in my OP above, I stated that is not what will be in there. Only the information I listed.

It would again, help new and seasoned members to avoid being scammed by the same members twice and those scammers scamming other members who were not aware. The reason for the banning is PRIVATE, and that was the main issue and it would NOT be included. I also offered to help monitor and update the thread if the mods needed a little extra assistance.

I agree with you there. I was more referring to the scammer's being placed here. The members who have taken a good amount of money from the forum and ran. It was just a suggestion, I offered my help. If the mods think it's unnecessary then I will close the thread and that will be the end of it. No hard feelings, just trying to help the forums out a little bit more.

This thread and question has come up plenty of times. It's all very well suggesting ideas like this, but someone actually has to do the work which I doubt would actually solve any issues. If someone really wants to scam, it's not exactly hard to open a new Skype account, email account and BHW account. Listing scammers (which is already done in the shitlist section) isn't going to solve that issue.

I don't agree that all people who are banned are scammers. Making a list like that would group them all together...

I think people should just be prepared to deal with scammers, and not get ripped off. The internet has been around for a long time.. heck, people are still getting ripped off on the street. We should start a thread to coach people on how to not get screwed.

Actually, you may be onto something there furious. Send me a PM about the coaching thread and we can collaborate on it. I've been in the game a long time, I've been scammed a few times, and I can be of assistance there. Thanks for your time guys, I will close this thread now.
