So I haven't really marketed with FB before so I'm kind of a newb when it comes to FB but I have a doubt.

I have seen many fb pages promoting dating sites, webcam sites etc.. and they don't post explicit content, only girls in bikini, etc.. However I noticed that they have a few watermarks with their site in the pics, but never directly link on the pages to their site.

I have a webcam site I wanna promote on FB and was wondering if I add links in my posts and about page, could I get banned or something? Should I go with just watermarks on the pics?

Yes, selling sex might get your fanpage banned. I am telling you, people have HUGE trouble getting legit(Fb dating apps) approved in ads. If you spam affiliate links, they will ban it. I wouln't risk it :D

Of course once a week posting some domain redirected to sex selling affiliate link won't do any harm. But when you do it often, I promise, you will get banned.

Facebook is very dick nowadays.

you can do something else, try a link to a one page site (yours) with ads to the webcam site.
the fb tos is very strict about adult materials..

Facebook has become paranoid about adult content after a few spam ads and posts with sexual explicit content. If you're thinking of doing that just to get some free traffic, and not as a part of your strategy I would advise you to completely avoid it.

Facebook aren't only strict about it, but they you can't contact them if they do something, so if they catch one link, you might loose the page and personal profile due to it.

Sounds to me like you just need to get better at photoshop or even re water mark the images. You don't want to solicit any X rated material on FB or your going to get banned.

I suggest making a bikini girl site and promote it on facebook and promote the naughtier site on the bikini girl site :)
This way it might be dancing on the razors edge, but it seems more legit.

Definitely still going to be walking on egg shells if your traffic reports you to fb.

better do a website, dont post sex ads on your facebook page fb will ban it fast

When I saw the title of this thread the only thing in my mind was Prostitution 2.0 lol

I have an adult website and I promote on Facebook mainly for social engagement I don't really get that much traffic from it because it's not something I concentrate on but they have banned a few of my pages but it doesn't bother because I have plenty more to take there place and twitter ban me much faster than Facebook.

They usually ban faster than you can create accounts.

But if you keep it somewhat decent, its possible for "shorter" amount of time.

My personal take is its not worth the effort, but one of my friends tells me otherwise $$$

If you want to do this, I would strongly suggest that you shorten the URL before posting.

How does shortening url solve the problem of getting banned? It still leads to same page.

Posting affiliate links will ban your pages most of the times. No matter if it is adult content or any other offers.

My pages were unpublished after I posted a normal regular meme. It's always risky when it comes to facebook and pages.

The best you can do if you are desperate to post these links is, post them for an hour or so and delete it. Don't make it look much spammy, if someone reports the post, then you will be in trouble.

IFrame the offers. If your posting links which are not dating/gaming/gambling, it is allowed. Yes, FB doesn't like affiliates, but they can't do anything. They are part of the community. Don't spam the link every hour :D

Script for it:

<!doctype html>
<html lang="en">
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8" />
<title>One Moment...</title>
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;url=YOUR_AFFILIATE_LINK">
</head>
<body>
</body>
</htm

Do a website instead of a facebook fanpage, if you are doing the adult things..
