Using these footprints, you can find blogs that already have between 5 and 25 comments. Of course you can change it a lot, for example use different numbers, words in the footprint etc.

Footprints are specific kind of pages or scripts which you can use to blast with any seo software or just for creating backlinks manually. It is very important to use the right Seo footprints, which will enable you to find good backlinks.
If you combine your search with your desired keywords, you will find loads of useful backlinks on specific platforms. An example of a footprint that most people probably know is "Powered by vbulletin". If you combine this with your keywords, you will find forums on the topic of your keyword where you can post links to. In this article we would like to give you some lesser-known footprints. Hope you will find it useful!

Basically, you would use the different"footprints" to scrape Google for places to leave comments on. ie;"powered by tumbr"...you could do a scrapebox scrape for "powered by tumbr" and you would get sites that are both On Tumbr and Self-hosted Tumblr blogs that you could leave a comment on. What the OP is giving here is a list of search terms to use in a scraping tool. These are NOT "footprints" like in the context of leaving SEO footprints.

Almost all blogs, forums, edu and most others are "powered by" some other platform. This is a list of all the available platforms you could search for.

Try it for yourself and copy and past one of the terms in Google and see what comes back.

Take a line, Search it in Google. Open some links, If its a Blog.. Leave your comment there with a link to your website.
If its a Forum > Register there with your Email and fill in the bio and signature section with your website links. Then post on those forums.

In short you can use this to find sites relevant to your Keyword and promote your websites there for targeted traffic/backlinks.

The footprint you're thinking about means to leave a trace back to your sites.

Footprints in this thread are snippets of text that are used to easily trace back to sites that have the same text on them. You use these to find sites to submit links to.
