it depends upon the ips and domain from which you are sending emails. if the ips is good reputated over internet then certainly you will get good results and if not then emails may go into spam folder.
Also make sure you have spf / dkim keys pass for your domain

nopes, now a days people dont use postfix since postfix is not only solution for bulk emailing PowerMTA is the best it is designed for bulk emailers only and it is very intelligent for bulk emailers

You need a linux vps + script + postfix + correct configuration to send safe bulk mails.

yes Sendblaster, but it does not give you the delivery reports, open stats etc. So if you are sending on some other clients behalf you wont get any stats at all.
Try interspire / oempro, they are the best in the market.
