Well i just found this website (aliexpress) and i seen that they have some very cheap netbooks and i was thinking of dropshipping with them. Are returns accepted on aliexpress? all the items are from china but it doesn't really matter because lots of people buy from china. Should i do this? i don't want to ship it to me then resell it (i'll lose money on shipping and fees). Also is aliexpress legit?

they are good and they have good suppliers as well, just be careful who you're dealing with, that's all

Aliexpress is the sister concern of the Biggest Wholesale Website of the World Alibaba. As a matter of fact I have heard that Alibaba was going to buy "Yahoo". So you can think of now it is Legit or not :D

You can obviously go with it. They are more trusted then Ebay.

What the hell have you been smoking? -Yes its legit site but more trusted that ebay or bying Yahoo? dont think so :D

Before you comment calling others it is best you know what you are talking about. Alibaba own a big part of Yahoo.

I think that what Quile is trying to say is that saying that alibaba or aliexpress is legit isn't more relevant that saying that ebay is legit. Everyone can sell stuff on those 3 websites so it depend on the seller of the specific goods you want to buy. Also if you aim to dropship large quantity, you might want to consider alibaba over aliexpress, alibaba is B2B so you can negociat easily if you're planning to deal with large quantity, while the other is B2C.

Also, i'm not sure about that but as far as I know it's the oposit, yahoo own alibaba. I remember reading an financial article about yahoo being embarassed about the fact that very large quantity of replica are sold in alibaba website.

AliExpress is 100% legitimate.

However, the site itself is comprised of multiple suppliers, each one has it's own shipping / payment terms.
It's basically eBay. Only that the sellers aren't individuals, but rather manufacturers that sell in retail / OEM / ODM and sometimes even OBM products.

Always talk to their sales departments before establishing any trading business partnerships.
Like eBay, it has its piranha fishes, and the products can be pretty inferior, you cannot trust the quality completely not even on simple rubber toys.

I just found out that aliexpress doesn't support paypal as a payment option....so i have to dropship with bestbuy, has anyone ever done that before?

Nope. Yahoo owns (or atlest did own) part of Alibaba.

Yeah, that was what i meant.

Yahoo owns 40% stake of Alibaba Group (privately owned), AliExpress is an marketplace affiliated entity platform of Alibaba; a subsidiary and as many others known companies like China's Yahoo!

Alibaba just made a bid like many other interest to buy its stakes and the Yahoo! as well.

Aliexpress, buyers have complaint of suppliers having scamm them of their moniesand/or received bad and false products in return.

eBay also has a wholesale platform where all powersellers bid, and it is still the best place to shop coming as second place; Amazon coming in as first.

There other places like one wholesale forums in Uk., I can't really state the site's name here because is against the policies on here, but has wholesale advertisers.

I just wanted to clear that up, don't take it badly, :)

Aliexpress is great if you can find a good niche. Most of their products are at retail pricing, so the markup might not be all that.

Aliexpress i bought few product never had any problem , just make sure supplier has good feedback

I've used aliexpress and I will be honest they're practices are a little better than EBay. Disputes are handled quicker there in the experiences that I have had. Also report any seller that you gave bad feedback to that asks you to change their feedback. Especially if they didn't fix the problem. It's not allowed.
