GSA SER - Relativity of links?

Has anyone got any suggestions or advice for the best setup for GSA SER? I've watched the Youtube videos and I'm (slowly) making my way through the 100+ page thread so I'm trying to pickup what I can. The problem I have is that submitted links seem to be of very poor relevance to the target site or niche - I wouldn't care too much for an affiliate site but it's a genuine business so I need to keep things on point.

I have set it only post if the site contains 5 of the keywords - I can understand poor relevance on directory sites but some of the links I pick up seem to be on RV & Gun websites which I can't understand? Keywords wise; they're pretty technical keywords around the technology sector so it's not like they're common search terms.

This is a powerful bit of software so I have no doubt that I'm doing something wrong - I just can't figure out what.

My personal opinion, GSA is a trash link farmer. Maybe has some value on farming trash links on your T3 maybe, but keep it away from your $$$ site. UD is a better option but you need to harvest your own list, and you need to maintain that list or the software will begin to gag when you have thousands of sites. MS would be your best option, but again you need to harvest your own list. SB is awesome, stay away from Senuke too much over usage. Xrummer if you have time to learn it.

When you're in project edit mode, under options select

"Only post to sites where X of my keywords are found".

Problem solved for the most part. Or you have to scrape your own custom lists, clean, and import them. No big deal. One software doesn't make better links than another software, it's the quality of the user that counts.

As per the first post "I have set it only post if the site contains 5 of the keywords". Maybe I'm approaching this the wrong way; I should be using it for lower tiers rather than directly to the site. I never gave much thought to scraping custom lists, but in hindsight it makes more logical sense.

Is there anything you could recommend for scraping...although I expect the answer will be SB?

Yeah .. the ScrapeBox is great for finding relevant domains to your niche. I've never had problem with relevance - if I want to blast lower tiers, im setting my keywords on page to 0, if I want to target directly my money site, i set up up to 3 keywords (5 keywords are far too much imho - it will be hard to find something).
One of the best way is (as mentioned) to scrape highly relevant high PR domains with SC and then use GSA. (You can scrape relewant domains directly in the GSA - options -> advanced -> tools -> search online for urls ... here you can add your footprint like inurl, intitle, etc.) Dont forget to post links only on sites with higher PR and not too much links onsite.
