@duffers5000. I love the pixies. saw them in chicago once. definitely a great band. Also, I love Modest Mouse. There isn't one song that they've made that I don't like.

are IMHO the best bands in the world.

are hard to beat. Beatles were good, but the stuff up until Revolver was just catchy pop-music. Their psychedelic stuff is excellent though.

They only have one good album - The black album, then there's a black mark called Lulu which tarnishes their name ever so much. That said I'd rather listen to them than any of Maiden, AC/DC and GNR.

I'll go back in time and say Led Zepplin without them (Sabbath and Deep Purple) there would be no Heavy Metal. :rock:

If I had to name one band it would have to be Metallica. I enjoy so many different types of music though and people have named some great bands, 30 seconds to Mars, Breaking Benjamin, Pixies all mentioned so far have some great tracks.

But I saw Metallica live around a year ago and they were stupendous. Saw Slipknot the following day and at the time I only liked one of their songs but they were absolutely amazing, incredible performance and show.

I can't agree more with this if I tried! Queen, hands down kicks the ass of the majority of bands.
Been listening to them for over 20 years, have every one of their albums - the only thing I regret is only seeing the one concert live and that was the Freddie Mercury Tribute at Wembley.

However, saying that, I am quite enjoying Sick Puppies lately
