Wanted: Will Pay Coder/Programmer Tutor/Mentor/Friend/Partner

I'm in the $100, flat-rate range but this could change as things evolve.

Here's my situation.

I have a TON of ideas, really good ideas, on how to make money by using automated process, only I do not have the skills to write the code. And I like my ideas so much that I can't bring myself to share them with anyone else, so what has happened over the last year or so is that I just sort of file them in a box and wait around for something to change, only nothing has changed and not only do my old ideas nag me and torment me for failing to take advantage of them, I have more new ideas that pile on top, and since New Years I've been doing some hard & serious thinking i.e. "soul-searching" and have come to the conclusion that what I've been doing up to this point isn't work, and it's time to try something else.

So it boils down to a choice of A) Sharing my ideas with qualified programmers in order to persuade them to enter into some kind of partnership where even if they like my idea, they do all the work and I do what? afterwards. After they get the idea, they no longer need me, or they reject the deal proposition and execute the idea later without me.

Or B) I learn how to code/program and do the ideas myself.

I've chose "B", and now I'm in "doing something" mode.

So, my proposition is that I will pay a flat-rate of $100 to someone that is willing to spend WAY more time with me then what that $100 pays for, with the idea that there may be some long-term gain to be had in the undetermined future. When does the time run out? I'll leave that up to you.

For my part, once motivated, I'm a pretty determined self-starter and have a provable background in online self-education. I know how to teach myself, and I actually DO it. And this uh... "potential career path" has been on my mind and nagging me to one extent or another since I learned how to program BASIC on an Apple IIe computer in High School, YEARS ago. I've taught myself a bit about programming Macro Express, so you are starting with someone that at least has some clue.

Also, given my lifestyle, etc... most of the one-on-one time would have to be on Skype (either voices or text), and I have a provable ability to learn in this manner also, btw. I've done it before and it worked. The first time was more or less "accidental", and it had profound results. This time I intend to do it with intent. A purpose, if you will, and a goal. Several goals, in fact, most of which are centered on the idea of wealth creation.

As far as cost in time to you, I think most of my time & expertise demand would be up-front, with a downward trend (like on a graph) over time. The more I learn, the less hand-holding I will need. And in terms of money, if/when my project starts taking off and making money, I have absolutely no problem with sharing the revenues made with the person that helped make it possible. I'm wired that way; with a strong sense of uh... "gratitude" to the people that help me along the way.

Thanks I appreciate that. Ubot is on the list of "things to do", but I suspect the projects I want to do will involve more "heavy duty" programming. Maybe not. I've read a lot of posts from people saying how powerful Ubot is.

We are living in the 2013, everything now a days is going to be turning towards the SaaS, which is basically software as a service, that will be run on the cloud and scaled and downscaled as you please. No overpaying for resources you don't need or paying a whole month of hosting upfront, everything will be hourly and sometimes even minutes or second cost(there are some that offer cloud services per seconds of hosting).
When thinking about programming, now a days, I wouldn't go really for c# but more for python(since its easy to learn and very robust) and/or java.

The reason being is that is that its better if you start thinking distributed programming, a.k.a deploying your code on the cloud.These 2 languages, especially python, are being used for all the major developments and start-ups since they can be both deployed easily across the cloud. Its a much better route to go this way,than making a self-contained bot with a windows/linux/mac GUI that is very hard to scale without having to set each one up and monitor them on their own vps/dedi or wherever they are deployed.

So in my opinion, if you are just looking to make bots for yourself and not really sell them, use python or java and get some cloud hosting. Also learn about using reddis, RabbitMQ(or some other sort of AMPQ product) , mysql or a No Sql database(like mongolDB).Needless to say, you should start using databases for storing information, log, campaigns, settings instead of writing them in a .txt file or in a file. And also use the cloud as your deployment environment instead of your computer or a vps/dedi as the permanent infrastructure.

Most important though, use other 3rd-party API's for enhancing your automation to the max . Literally there are API's for technically everything, I am not just talking about like Youtube, Facebook,Tumblr, Pinterest, but like API's for email marketing(sendgrid), for contact managing(constact contact), for customer support(desk.com).

For example, you can use context.io api to manage your emails, that way when your doing web 2.0 registration, or expecting any kind of email in any of your registered email under the context.io, you can literally manipulate your emails for retrieving verification emails, messages, important updates etc and integrate them in your overall system.

The key is to think of everything as modules in a big system, not make individual bots like the rest of the blackhatters are doing.You should be reusing your code and have them all work together under a very easy to use webpanel, don't make individual GUIs for each bot and then run each bot on its own. The big downside here is that most people are thinking of wealth right now that they usually just stick with what has been working for years, making desktop bots(like C# bots that have been going here) instead of using the latest technology, and techniques to increase efficiency.

In reality, if you are not using the Cloud or any 3rd-party API's cloud service of any kind, you are missing out on what the next 5-10 years are going to be heavily about. Strictly SaaS products, running on a few PaaS and IaaS services.

I've had this idea recurring over & over again for the last year. I'm re-thinking everything, but still feel having some personal interaction, at least in the beginning, is necessary for the information to "stick". I also like to throw ideas out and have them shot down for legitimate reasons.

I'm not going to answer the questions that are based in fear, mistrust & suspicion. I don't operate that way, and am very good at avoiding those that do.

You are completely on the money here YouFeelMeDawg. My language of choice though is Ruby, dynamic like Python and great libraries (called Gems in the Ruby World - http://rubygems.org) out there already for webservices API and DB (eg: DataMapper) integration, scrapping (Nokogiri == awesome!) and a great approach to library package management via rubygems.

Again, absolutely agree. Think in terms of being able to dynamically chain modules. You could, for instance write a Google Scraper, the output of which could be piped into any number of other modules, like a PageRank Checker, and Alexa lookup, a scraping engine of your own. Possibilities are limitless really.

PHP can scrape, parse, manage cookies ... do just about anything (I even had made a PHP-only module that sent emails through the Google mobile site). Only thing it doesn't do so well is execute javascript and ajax. With VB you can stick a web browser right in the program and access all of its text at all times (even when javascript/ajax has been executed) ... and if you get more advanced you can use sockets and make it multithreaded.

Just food for thought when picking your programming languages. I really want to make a blog on this stuff someday but so dern busy busy.

I really want to THANK YOU for that. The last I heard, Phoenix University was charging as much per credit for their online courses as they were for their brick & mortar building courses (a few years ago). I knew eventually there would be free online Universities, but did not get the word that they have actually started to exist. edX sounds like it is still new. They have "beta sounding" language in their introductory segments, like they've only done a few courses so far. When did edX start doing free courses.

PHP all day! PHP had so many different frameworks that could get you up and running in no time. Not to mention that you're able to create robust applications using PHP and C++. If I were you, I'd definitely learn PHP. You can always create a nice web application, and sell it as a service, etc. You could develop your own custom CMS/website(with HTML/CSS/Jquery/javascript)

I know someone was talking about cloud computing, but in reality, this might not be the best bet if you're building an application with a high userbase. You'll find yourself spending wayy to much money paying those fees. (It's like .0001 cent per query, or something like that) BUT, this is a recomendation

OP, I might not be making any sense right now, but what I wanted to offer to help you get started. If you need a friend, a programmer, a copywriter, or someone who has been in the Internet Marketing niche, feel free to PM me, and we can just chat.

I could ask to 10 girls to teach me a certain language (i won't say which, let's pretend it is ......Japanese, but it is not) for free, because they like me, but still I chose a teacher. And this teacher from a developing country, I mean very backward, with limited needs, I still pay (gladly, since she works well), 300usd per month!!!!! ))))

With 100 you can ask 15 minutes consulting
this consulting would obviously tell you : learn PHP, JS, dHTML(5), SHELL/BASH, and in general, L.A.M.P. These tools used wisely on a devi server can do all the things the PHPbuilt guy says, and more!

Get a dedicated server or vps and learn from 0 (where you're, on many regards, not only programming) !

You can query webbrowser1.readystate at any given time to see if a webbrowser has fully loaded. Or you can just wait until the WebBrowser_DocumentComplete2 event fires and put code there. Or you can just know some text that should be available on the page when its loaded and look for the text, once it arrives you know the page is loaded enough to extract data.

But you're right, aside from those 3 methods I can't think of any way of knowing if a page has fully loaded.

Bots can be programmed in all languages and they're all exactly just as good as each other, with the only difference being which language you personally prefer. The reason they're all the same is because you're dealing with web protocols like http, https, ftp, email, sending headers, reading headers, etc. ... that is the stuff you got to master. Whatever programming language you learn will be doing the exact same things, reading the exact same web pages, parsing the exact same headers as any other programming language, so just pick the language that looks best to you (maybe the ones that have the most examples online of doing what you want to do)

I like visual basic just because it was the first I ever programmed with, VB6 back in like 1998. With VB6 you can incorporate the actual internet explorer web browser into the program, stick it directly in the app and for all intents and purposes it IS internet explorer, except you can read all its data directly.

To specifically answer your question, web pages are typically sent via http protocol instantly. However, it takes time to render in a browser. It may have images, or need to load external javascripts ... and the javascripts activate ajax and change the content on the page.

So you make the decision about what exactly you need on the page. Obviously not all pages are sending captcha codes or rendering content via ajax. In that case you DO NOT WANT and DO NOT NEED TO wait for the page to completely render. If you have the text of the page and all you needed from it was a dynamic hidden input variable in a form, why would you want to wait for the page to load a bunch of junk like images or external javascripts? You just check the page content, look to see if it contains the hidden input variable and then you move on to the next thing.

However, maybe you have a good reason to need the page to entirely render. Perhaps it loads a captcha via ajax. In that case, there are 3 things you can do to make sure the page has loaded properly.

#1) If the name of your webbrowser object is webbrowser1 ... then from inside a timer you check to see if webbrowser1.readystate = 4, if so then the page has rendered.
#2) Every single time a webpage has fully loaded, it fires off an event called "DocumentComplete2". In the case of the webbrowser being named "webbrowser1", the event that gets fired looks like this ...

So when that event fires (because the page has loaded), it fires whatever code you had put in at ' put your code here, like for instance code to continue to next task.
#3) If you know what data you're looking for, you can load the page and just keep checking the pages content (available in WebBrowser1.Document.body.innerText) to see if that text exists, like if you know you're waiting for recaptcha to load you make a timer and keep looping through it with
