Has anyone here done Radio?

So I am thinking of diving into the Radio ad space. Just curious if anyone here has experience with radio and whether is was good or bad?

If not, in the next month or two I am going to do some Radio advertising in 3-4 diff. verticals using CPA/CPL offers and will post my experiences here.

I may not be in the same area as you are so the results may be different for you.

I went on radio on invitation from my neighbour who wanted to talk about making money online. After the show, the producer asked us to go for one whole month. We then concentrated on building business using the internet.

That was the start of my local SEO company. Once in a while we pop into the studio and business couldn't have been better. Nothing beats authority and radio has a surprisingly captive audience.

That's pretty cool. I've always heard radio isn't target at all so it sucks and all that. You're totally right though, people trapped in a car will pay a lot more attention to something. Great job!

Bought daily radio spots for a 3 month period a few years back. Made a profit first month, broke even the second month, and hardly got a lead the third. But I guess it depends on your industry, the channel and the ad. We rented one of the best know actors in that country to do the voice recording so ad cost about $ 4k to produce.

Thank you everyone for your replies... I am intrigued with the idea but I will most likely set up my own network before I jump in. I work with a boatload of brick and mortar business people so I am sure I have a radio connection somewhere, haha.
