I did this years ago with the Maury Show, i went crazy on a few maternity test affiliates and "You are not the Father" t-shirts. It worked out great. :icon16:

Yeah, I love selling in the Oprah niche. What some people here aren't getting is that you don't have to watch the show. They list the upcoming episodes on the website, tell you what guests are coming on, at the start of the week. You can quickly scope out what products Oprah will be letting her guests promote and get ahead of the sales curve. Just throw up a landing page on a high ranking blog or site that you own and you'll see sales come in the moment her guest starts talking about whichever product they're plugging.

To use an example, two Christmases ago she plugged a specific digital camera as one of her "favorite things" - things she recommended people get as Christmas gifts.

I had seen her list of favorite things on her website before the show aired and I made a page recommending this specific camera. Used an Amazon affiliate link.

While her show was on I began making sales of this camera - at $30 commission per sale.

I had a nice amount of sales on that camera throughout that Christmas season, and to this day I make a small amount of sales. The big burst was November/December that year.

You should also remember that she has a magazine. Next time you're at the doctor's office take a pen and paper and jot down which products she talks about in her magazine. Also look at the ads. Sign up for those affiliate products and you're golden with sales.

The Oprah method is really a no brainer method for making easy affiliate commissions.

People, you really should be taking this seriously.

Paying attention to opinion makers is one great way to be in the right place at the right time when it comes to profiting from existing or upcoming trends.

BTW, Oprah is not the only one out there, even though she's the most important by far. Good thing with her is that she has a huge followship of devoted fans, and her interests are widespread.

Besides watching her show on tv, you can go to her site and check upcoming episodes or whatever there. There are even forums for her fans, recommended products, etc. You can even go as far as going to the page where a coming episode is displayed, view the source code and check its tags. If there's a secret subject or product that's about to be dealt with by Oprah during the week, you can find about it beforehand this way.

I couldn't agree more. This is the mindset that many IM'ers overlook.. especially the ones posting the "how can I make $37 by tomorrow" threads. Trends are everything, and they are set by people of influence. Talk shows are full of product plugs and exclusive "inside looks" well before things hit the market on fire... If you're quick at doing your keyword research and putting up a stellar looking wp site.. man, the traffic can be intense!

PAY ATTENTION to everything around you.. and you will start to hear and see trends every single day...

I'm sorry.. but Tyra Banks is a condescending idiot. True, she is smoking hot and needs a love pole between the eyes, but to even mention her and someone with the status of Oprah in the same sentence is just silly.

my missus will be talking girl talk and ill be like hang on a sec what was that thing you where talking about, and she be like oh yeah this new thing, and all the girls are going nuts for it... and im like mmmmm 20 mins later ill be putting a site/blog together! LOL
