Easiest to use with not much coding experience. Ubot 4.1 or Zennoposter MP

Hi, I've searched for posts regarding zennoposter mp and ubot 4.1 and i've read mix reviews on both software, with people saying opposing things regarding the ease of use of each software.

I'm thinking about purchasing one and first wanted to know which one is easier in creating simple bots, particularly for those who do not have much coding experience. What is the easier one to grasp and learn and which one is harder, and why?

i'm really after those people who have used both software, but if you've used either one, feel free to comment with your reasons why, likes pro's and cons, specifically commenting on their ease of use and grasping the concepts/etc

Zennoposter have demo version, play with it and you will see how its going. After that you can buy Ubot - they have 30 days moneyback guarantee and chose what is best for you. Im using only zenno so i cant tell you much about ubot. Zenno is not hard to learn, you can code with it easy bots and some super complicated bots. Many people tell that Ubot is not good for complicated bots.

i had a play with both before purchasing and went with ubot the reason being is it was a lot easier to create bots.
i have a lot of coding experience the reason a bought ubot was to speed up the process of making bots.
the main benefit of zeno seems to be the schedule feature but ubot now allows user created plugins from a programmers point of view the software now opens up many new areas.

some issues with it thou are its pretty memory heavy when bots are running compared to hand coding a bot but i'm still able to run all my bots on my oldest laptop.

Ubot easier - but if you want to go above a certain level of complication - then Zenno is more powerful.
Having said that Ubot now has MySQL interrogation and windows automation included. Both handle Java anf flash OK
Both have adequate Regex handling. Neither are SOCKET based (despite what the blurb will tell you "Socket like" is not socket

For beginners with little or no programming experience. Ubot is likely a lot quicker to get to grips with and has the abily (the killer difference IMO) of being able to compile bots to distribute and run independantly. Zenno mentioned they were going to introduce this in a blog on this site 7 months ago (June 2012) not heard about it since.

Best of course is to code yourself - but I have and use both as creating a simple bot for a simple task with breaking out your reference books just saves time.

Likely that both sets of devs will jump on this thread with (what will amount to) little more than sales hyperbole which will degenerate into a slanging match of features. That's normally what happens. Which is a shame as both are great tools and serve different enough markets for both to exist and (importantly for consumers) compete.

I've got 30 years coding experience including commercial applications. From education through MRP II, and business logistics code that interfaces with applications like SAP, as well as all sort of engineering control applications..but that won't stop the devs treating what I've said above like I haven't got a fucking clue and just spouting sales blurb at you like a mad monk with "the verbal shits". Threads that ask to compre these two applications often end in an unseemly bun fight which doesn't portray either developer as particularly adult or professional. Use the search function and see for yourself how these threads have degenerated into slanging matches in the past. Not good

Thanks for your comments guys, and I agree Scritty, like past threads, this one has a chance of turning into a sales slinging match, which I hope isn't the case.

I imagine their are a lot of people out there in the same position as me, so thanks to all those that left a comment and insight, and if anyone else can too, the more the better (please be unbiased, I really dont want to be 'sold' to in this thread)

I wondered the same thing as the OP. I downloaded the ZP demo, but it said the demo version expired after I rebooted after installing. Anyone know a free program like ZP or Ubot that perhaps doesn't have all the features, but is free?

well i own tons of expensive seo tools including zenno.. im really interested in purchasing ubot pro too, but it's too expensive.. seriously. im not poor I could afford it, but 400 for a tool like zenno is too much. if I could get a run with ubot for few days..and if I would like it.. I would buy it for sure, but at the moment I really don't want to purchase it and then ask for a refund of I don't like it. honestly I know it don't make much sense, but this how I roll.

I can say that zenno is awesome.. and it works super well so I would suggest it.. unfortunately I can't comment ubot.

Individuals just starting out in software sales or IM use UBot, so do small businesses who outsource their programming in it to other countries, as well as large companies from Toshiba to Lynda.com to Conde Nast. Our price is not going to go down any time soon, but we do have three Editions so that you can start out with Standard, find success, and pay only the difference to upgrade.
