What kind of program to make trailer?

I use Vega Pro from Sony, but is that any good software to make small videos like trailers with cool text effects and video effects? Also something simple software not to advance.

Vegas Pro is good but you will find Proshow Producer very easy to use as well for putting together slide based videos with transition effects. I have Adobe Premiere and After Effects for the hard core material. I almost forgot but add Camtasia to the mix to do screen captures.

Adobe AfterEffects can do it. That's what many of the big movie
studios use as well. There are also lots of premade Movie Trailer
templates available for AfterEffects.

And lastly, it is important to mention here that all Adobe products
are on our Do Not Share list, just in case someone was thinking
of sharing it.

You can also do trailers in Pinnacle Studio and Cyberlink Power Director.

That Sensations trailer effects can be easily be made with the Adobe products assuming you have some stock footage to work with. Plus there are ton of tutorials on the webs on how to create effects.

Animoto is just "cookie cutter" transition effects. It's fast and
easy, yes, but hardly in the category of the high-end video
software.

Probably the software to use would depend on how professional you want the end result to be, I too vote for AEs and use it extensively, I will say that it is definitely worth the learning curve if you enjoy creating your own videos.

I think anyone who actively uses AEs will absolutely agree that it's a hard program to beat, especially with all the FX addons you can get such as the "Trapcode Suites" and the new "Element 3d" from Videocopilot just to name a couple.

Anyone create anything cool with pinnacle studio 15? I'm just learning it. It's alright so far.

I used an earlier version of Pinnacle and the canned effects were okay but not nearly as powerful as Vegas in my opinion. Later releases maybe different however.

if you are looking for a program that does 3d text i would suggest Cinema 4d, though it does come with a cost, but after seeing all that the program features you will fall in love with it! I use it for all of my animations and haven't found a flaw in it yet.
