Hi there.
This is going to be my first real contribution to the community.
I am fairly new to IM but I know the basics. However I always start and can never carry through. Resulting in me making no money so far.
That is the reason for this thread. I will be posting my progress on here everyday just to make sure that I keep working at it.
I have made a Facebook page and my goal for the end of January is to get 1k likes. I started around an hour ago and currently have 6 likes haha, but the first are the hardest.

Good luck mate! Is your FB page a random page, or does it have anything to do with a CPA offer, or a Clickbank product?

It is a random page that I will hope to maybe charge for shoutout's when I have enough likes.
But I will come to that when I get around 10-20k likes.

QUICK UPDATE

The page has been up for around 4 hours. So far I have been commenting on similar pages like crazy and have put up around 20 pictures.
Stats so far
Likes: 52
 
Just thought I would let you know, we have reached 100 likes. In 1 day!
I am very happy at the minute!

Well things have gone VERY well today.
We somehow managed to get shared by a page with 80k likes and now we are up to around 230 likes.
Full update will up tomorrow.

230 Likes in day 1 for new page is very interesting figure. btw can you please mention broad niche of your facebook page??

Very nice progress so far :)

As I said in the PM: Be careful about the audience you're making your page visible to. 18+ or even 21+ is mandatory for everything "sexy" on Facebook.

I would first of all like to thank Kevin89 and Antagonist for giving me so much information and practical tips. Check out Kevin's road to 50k

Well yesterday was very eventful. I started my page and now (after being live for around 24 hours) we have 422 likes. All our likes are real.

How I managed this?

I used Kevin's tactic of commenting on similar niche fan pages. I find it works best if you comment like a normal Facebooker.
DO NOT comment saying "oh come check out my page"
1. That is annoying
2. No one will come to your page because you are already annoying them.

Another way I gained likes was chance. I was on a page commenting when I noticed the page were asking for S4S (share for share). I emailed the admin and then I realised that the page had 80k likes. However the admin said they would help me grow. This gained me around 200 likes.
