Google Verification through Skype

This may sound like a silly question, but can a Skype phone number verify a Google account?
I have already tried K7.net, but now google cuts the first 4 numbers off.
I have also tried pinger and textplus on blue stacks and its still a no go.

Hey man, it works to create accounts without phone verification. Why you don`t try ?

I did, but after I submitted an adsense application, it said I needed to verify my number.

You can get this verification message at any of your friend or relative mobile if you don't want to get it on your own cell phone.
