Valentine's Day Method

I used proflowers. The flowers I bought were displays of the most popular ones. Most of the orders came the flyer's and the reason people bought is proflowers is about 1/2 to 1/3 the cost of a flowershop. I made it a point to hit up the guys who were alone and flirt a bit as well

My question is, did you order the flowers from YOUR laptop or did you hand out flyers and people could go home and order?

I'm still a bit confused. I didn't think it was allowed for you to purchase flowers from your PC that you use for your affiliate accounts.

Proflowers allows you to order from your pc just got to give am a heads up

I think that she passed out flyers and they did it at home.

She actually could have done it from her laptop but in order to do that you would need to get a permission from the network and explain the concept to them.

Not too bad, would definitely give it a shot if I had known before now. Too close to Valentine's Day.

So i guess the dream of 11k for us guys is gone eh?

Nice method though i have to say. As the person above said i always wonder whether people will input their credit card details onto my spreadsheet. When i was at the bottom of the heap of the IT world. I had to take account payments over the phone using credit card. And some people were even to scared to give me their number over the phone.

Yea, probably got a lot more sales & attention, just because shes a girl. Although, with a payout like that.. I'm sure you could hire a cute attractive girl for a day from your local college and ask if they wanna make a buck to buy more clothes

I'm pretty sure you don't just ask the person for their credit card and put it into a plaintext document. What you do is get an internet connection at the mall on the laptop, put up the proflowers homepage page w/ your aff link as the one people will see first, guide them through it if necessary in ordering from their website and they will actually be ordering the flowers to be shipped right then. None of this entering peoples cc info into documents for later purchase by yourself.

I've been looking for which networks are selling flowers and seems to be only Neverblue with fromyouflowers .com which pays $12.75/sale and cheapest thing is $29.99

Kinsey,

I'm sure we would all Love to see a copy of the flyer that you used. Also, how much did you pay to rent the space at the mall? My thoughts are that you may also be able to direct people to other applicable CPA offers as well (i.e. "free gift cards, etc.). Most all of the networks have CPA offers/Affiliate offers that are specifically targeted towards the forthcoming Valentine's Day Holiday.

To Your Success,
SouthernUnderground

I did this last year and made a good amount of money in one weekend. I ordered $200 worth of flowers from proflowers. Rented a booth at a mall for the weekend before Valentine's Day and made a bunch of flyers with my web address forwarded to my aff link. I took orders on my laptop and handed out the flyers. I made $11,000 in one weekend and did this again for mothers day and made even more.

nice...but too bad i predicted i will be BUSY dating on that day :)

nice offline marketing method;)

I just checked their international section, and there is an option for people outside of the usa! 10% commission, international orders are processed through their sister site:

Code:
http://www.flowerfarm.com/

Thanks for this great tip!

I tried to get a booth at my local shopping mall a while ago, but I was declined because the business wasn't up to their standards. They said that an internet based business wasn't qualified. Hmmf.

Kinsey, did you have any problems or any hoops you had to jump through in order to get into the mall?

Another way to go would be buying dozens or roses at your local florist (after checking who sells them for the lowest) and go door-to-door selling them individually or in a package. Say, $5-6 per rose or $X for 12. Have different colors and try to hire a cute girl to do the job. Tell her she is acting as if she sells the roses as part of a financial boost for a school trip in X country. Should make a nice profit that way, at least in theory. I never tried it though.

edit ; it's important you do this on February 14th to maximize impulse buy and you may even be thanked if someone forgot to buy flowers or didn't plan to but changed his mind and couldn't get them.

Isn't a straight redirect going to be frowned upon by the affiliate managers? Or I guess you could double meta redirect right when the person hits the index.php couldn't you? Would it be better to make a generic flower home page with banners to click on? Also, how much are your local malls charging for a booth? I'm going to contact some malls tomorrow and find out but I want to know if I'm getting ripped off or not.

Digital, check out Brad's CPARedirect, or my thread, to find out why the affiliates won't know it's a redirect. The goal is to have a storefront on your site as well, but that's just to appease the affiliates, not really for the sales.

Then again this is why I hate I don't have CPA companies in my country :(

This sounds like a clever idea here if you like dealing with people face to face and all that. I like the idea, not my cup of tea though.
