[TUT] Make Amazon Sites That Convert

Elle,
What success have you had with Squidoo+Amazon?

Thanks,
Jax

This was a very helpfull tutorial. I am gonna try it on a domain i have lying around

I just have a noob question. Hope you can help me LBrown. If I put the link to a product listing page that lists many items, when a user clicks through the link to go to Amazon, how is that click tracked? I mean when I open the "Order Report" in my Associate account, how do I know if there are people clicked through the links and landed on the product listing pages? And what type of click are they?

It's not the type of link when you link to a specific product (that way we already know where the users land on) right?

Hope my question makes sense :p

Thanks you for the information!

I have one question: Your traffic comes only by doing SEO, or do you buy traffic somewhere? If you buy, where will be the best place to buy it?

It's what this site should be about, people helping other without their own agenda.

I want to promote amazon products but not sure that: do i have to promote 1 product for 1 domain or many products on same domain??

Thanks for the helpful tutorial... :)

Couple of questions:

1. Do you use Wordpress Multisite?

2. Regarding keywords, in post 56 you said "I go after a higher number of LOW volume and low competition terms" and in post 199 you said "Do you mean the Adwords competition? High is best but sometimes medium is good too." So now I'm confused... I'm probably mixing apples with oranges but interested in learning how to come up with better keywords... (mine aren't so hot! lol)

Sorry I've missed a bunch of questions.

Enough for me to continue building lenses. I love monetizing and ranking web 2.0s. It is the most passive source of income I've got.

I'm not sure about the type of click thing. If there are clicks on your report then Amazon is tracking them. If there are not then you haven't formatted your link correctly.

If you want to PM me I can help with link formatting. You can also use this tool to check your formatting:

My traffic is SEO traffic.

You can promote as many products as you want.

1) No.

2)Your confusing adwords competition and SEO competition.

Adwords competition is about how many Adwords advertisers are bidding on keywords for the Google Adsense program. If no one is bidding it is a safe assumption that it is because it is not a profitable niche.

SEO competition is about the sites that are ranking in Google. There are a number of factors I look at to see if they will be easy to outrank but it has nothing to do with the advertisers using Google adsense.

Thanks LB for your reply.

I've re-read the Glossary section from Associate Center and it said that those links that point to search-result pages will fall under "Text links" category :)

And thanks for the link to the URL validation page. I didn't know that it exists lol!

Thanks LB for your informative post.

I have a couple of questions. Do you use any dedicated servers for your hosting or all in shared ones (like hostgator baby plan)..does the server and IP class have any impact on your MNS SERP rankings??

Also, have you tried the same method using click bank??

Lbrown, is your WP Amazon Price plugin still working with WP 3.6 ?
asking because it was last updated on 2011 (according the site).

I was used adsplugin (v1.1) last year, but now a days it not at all working.

I just need to show latest amazon price in a table, do you have any suggestion for me?

thanks for this. it's these kinds of posts that really help beginners like me :)
