Ever since getting my adsense banned I have been working at CPA, made a bit of money, but its hard work.
I have a few new sites I am working on at the moment, and so far this month I have had 40 clicks but no sales:(

Just needing some tips on optimizing things or where I should be looking for issues...

Are you rotating multiple offers/banners? Thats the first thing you should do in a testing phase.

40 clicks is nothing, you need a lot more than that to determine if an offer is converting for you or not. Short term variance can cause crazy stats sometimes.

Bro, CPA is completely different from Adsense. in Adsense the offers are self optimized internally by Google so you need to worry about that, it get's set up automatically. In CPA you have to choose your own offers to promote and test them before finally finding a good one. Contact your AM and ask about the top offers in your niche and try them. Also 40 clicks is pretty less amount in CPA you will have to get many more than that. If you master it, CPA is much better than Google ASSense.

That's just the beginning.
I have also started with CPA but these clicks are really low IMO.
Get more targeted traffic :)

how are you generating traffic if u dont mind me asking? SEO? email? social media?

Yes, I started rotating offers a few days ago as I thought that would be a good start - I was thinking perhaps the particular product was too expensive or something, so I have been showing some varying products now.

Traffic is being generated with SEO - have about 10 keywords really that I am targeting for each site, the keywords I am targeting are product based, not informative keywords, so I would have expected that my traffic (although I can appreciate its low) is reasonably well targeted.

At the moment though, I'm barely on page 1, hence the low traffic and low clicks.
-Currently my click through rate is averaging between 2-5%.

Just keep trying seems to be the general consensus then ? :)

Still, CPA is definitely more fun than adsense, but its a lot harder... :(

if ur CTR is around 2-5 percent, tahts is very good. most people struggle around .5percent . i think wut u need is to just generate more traffic. ur CTR is fine. r u ranking for ur main KW in ur domian?

Yea, I thought the CTR was ok, thats why I think the visitors are well targeted, but I thought they would have started to convert already.

Main keywords are still page 2 at moment, but getting a bit of traffic from long tail keywords etc.

Don't worry once you find the perfect recipe with CPA you will love it..

Try spending time researching for the perfect offer that doesn't scrub, perfect landing page and perfect theme..

I spent around 2-3 months to make my CTR around .80-1.10.. highest CTR I had is 1.10 with 1,000+ Clicks with free sign up..

Still, CPA is definitely more fun than adsense, but its a lot harder... :(

I also advice to bring/wait for more traffic, changing offers at every dozen of clicks will not get you nowhere. I generally wait until 40 clicks for cheaper/freebie offers and way over 100 with relatively more expensive products.

Your SEO traffic should be super targeted, you just need a good offer, and more traffic.

Thanks. Sounds good.
I have been rotating offers, but I am going to check the last few days, see what offer has had higher CTR, then just show that continuously, and as you say, Ill start rotating again when I have a bit more traffic.

Have one other site on CPA thats starting to do quite well now, so I am happy to keep pursuing this, I think it will pay off.

40 clicks?

i get 70-100 clicks a day still no conversions.. CPA is overused, you need to think out of the box and no just copy others..

CPA isn't hard work. It's trial and error. Matching the right offer with the right traffic. Probably the easiest way to make money ever.

SEO is your first mistake.

Why people waste their time with SEO that may or may not convert is beyond me, and stupid. If you don't plan on dealing with volume, do something else. Because that's where the money is with CPA. Not longtail traffic that will earn you $10 a month.

So my advice? Find a way to get more traffic and then optimize or move on. You can't make a thread asking for tips when we don't know what offer you are pushing or what your traffic is. People seem to love doing that on this forum.

And if you want to be a big CPA baller?.... research > copy > improve = get hoes.

You need more clicks, try to bring up your traffic and don't forget
traffic = more money if they are targeted you will get some good bucks

i suggest you go for lead based offers than sales based. You can anywhere from $1 to $11 on a lead. In a dating offer i am getting $11.2 / lead from a cpa network. try leads.....sales are hard
