The best residual income is to buy an established site that's already making money - but watch out for liars when buying.

Subscription based websites are popular for that. It's a cinch now that Clickbank offers recurring billing. So does Paypal.

Yes they do, Not currently working with any. My wife wouldn't allow it. But In the past I did some work with some and my income was building. Then some unexpected events happend in my personal life and I let it go, but did collect checks for about 6 months without even having internet service. If I were single or had a more understanding spouse I would be promoting those services. Very lukerative and also very competative. Also can be costly due to bandwidth useage. At the time app. 5-6 yrs. ago I had some videos get posted on the huns web site and other sites with several pic. galleries and got hit with a $700 doll. bandwidth bill. Now it may be different due to the cost of hosting seems cheaper, also with the hard lesson I learnd, I would approach it differently to cut the cost.
I guess for a residual income you could always try domain and hosting resellers. For example godaddy has a pretty good one that i was looking into joining myself.
To promote yourself can just have the site in your signatures in webmaster forums and maybe write a press release or ppc. Suppose you could also do some blackhat techniques
i wouldnt really know which ones to try though as im pretty new to the BHW myself.

Get your life/health insurance license, create a website selling it. You have residual income until they die or cancel their policy.
Now there have to be other choices besides the Porn/Dating market and going to the insurance market.
I'm not an expert in this area, but I have to agree about membership sites being a good source of recurring income. (That's all that the porn/dating sites with recurring income are)
I was following along in this thread hoping to see some suggestions that I hadn't realized before. But I'm working on a couple membership sites right now, and who knows; I might even make a recurring income affiliate site out of one of them.

Dude, thanks for that. You inspired an ah hah moment. I used to sell insurance, before knowing anything about IM. One of the hardest things about it was generating prospects. Filed away for future reference. +rep.
