Anyone has any experience from social traffic from linkedin? I wrote a post which was shared by someone in a professional group and has started receiving 200-300 visits per day from linkedin since then.

It's not anything huge but I am curious because the bounce rate is low, they share the post but they click no ads. The ctr is 1% or something which is low for this niche and for this site.

Any ideas ? Do you know if linkedin traffic generally does not click ads that much?

i think you need to have friends to share your content, like twitter or fb

Yea I know. I didn't share anything. That was done by someone else that I don't know and keeps getting shared from other people now. The post receives 200-300 visits per day but no one clicks any ads. That's what I am wondering about! Is Linkedin traffic useless in terms of adsense?

:questionm same happened here when we tried before, no conversion so, i completely lost our faith on stumble upon traffic :questionm

i tried stumbleupon traffic and no conversion

its hard to get traffic from linkdin,in my case

Bakxos,

This is certainly a weird situation. Are you saying that you are getting a 1% CTR on your ads or no clicks at all? LinkedIn users tend to be more educated, perhaps that is having an impact? Do you know the exact forum the link to your site was shared in? Perhaps your ads are not appealing to the visitors but the content is. Also, have you looked in to where visitors are going after they reach the landing page? Maybe they are getting distracted or compelled by something else on the page.

This post doesn't have a lot to do with your situation but maybe it will give you an idea about what is wrong,

Hope that helps,

Hey, thanks for the reply! A guy that has created a professional group (finance related group) that has around 2-3k members shared the link. The group is closed so I can't see anything! .They also shared it on google+ so I saw some comments. They liked the post but these guys are professionals and not buyers...

I changed the ad placement as I am sure it sucked. The traffic from linkedin and google+ has dropped today which is reasonable but I think that the ad placement is better now anyway.

Thanks for the reply!
