Bypassing youtube matched third party content - Weird occurrence.

Hello everyone,

I normally do not like to leech around in the forum without contributing myself and asking around questions the search button might have an answer to as well.

However, in this case I did not find any specific answer to what recently happened to me.

Just today, I found a considerably interesting niche. Its about a tv show. Now, several yt have uploaded episodes divided into 3-4 parts on the website itself. These are completely normal episodes with great quality and are even monetized. For a trial run I downloaded one of the videos and uploaded it myself.
Now here it is where I am getting confused and would like an answer to:

When I uploaded the video it showed me that famous "This video is blocked in some countries". However, clicking on my own video it doesnt show me which one. Therefore I believed it would be all countries as it matches third party content.
To bypass that problem I used the popular "dispute a claim, entering the reason: "Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976....". It worked and showed "your video is now available and playable", but for whatever reason I cannot find it in the search bar, even inserting the direct yt link itself.
Does it just take a while to show in search restults, depending on the size or other factors? (I did the same for a much smaller video and it almost instantly showed in search results after I uploaded it and disputed the claim).

That was one issue I had. The second I am still confused about is the following:

Though it tells me the video is playable and available it still does say:"Disputed third party matched content" in my video manager". Is there any chance it can be monetized in the near future? So far due to the third party matched content, it does not show the small "S" sign for monetization. The main reason I am asking is because the channel I originally downloaded the video from is monetizing the video successfully. Also:

1. It is exactly the same video as I did not change one bit.

2. The other channel is definitely not an official one with permission to run these videos (there are more than 5 of such channels that have really weird names and have been created around a week ago).

3. All of these channels uploaded the video 2-3 days ago, one just today and all of them are running commercials successfully.

All these facts point to my belief that they first had the same dispute, claimed it and got the video unlocked by youtube. Thus making it possible to monetize the video afterwards. Still, wouldn't that mean they did all that in only a day (including yt unlocking the video)? And why am I able to find their video in yt search results but mine does not show up!? And yes, I checked for duplicate search but it wasn't there either.
Is this just a matter of time and I have to wait a couple more hours?
The only other explanation I have is that these channels uploaded the video from a country where it is not locked due to third party content? However, that would mean I am in the country the video has been blocked so why am I able to watch their videos?!
Does anyone here have any other possible explanation?

Okay, the monetization button still hasnt been included. Does anyone know if MVB provides free proxies so I can try to upload one of the videos from the country it potentially works!?

Still, anyone has an answer to my main question? My videos are on "Disputed third party matched content" for a while now but haven't been activated in terms of their monetization. Am I doing something wrong? Is there any other option except for changing the actual video (considering that none of the other channels did that but with possible monetization)?

Are you sure that those other channels are monetized by the uploader? My guess is that the copyright owner puts ads on them and that's what you see. Content ID is very hard to bypass, I have put a huge white rectangle in the middle area of a clip and that worked , but it becomes unwatchable, letterboxing the frame with a solid color does not seem to work. I have seen some 16:9 http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=G_kazSmc8SU#t=157s letterboxed to 4:3, the outside area of the video was simply blurred, maybe that will work and remains somewhat watchable if the main action happens in the middle of the frames.

Youtube gives to the content's owners two alterantives for their copied content: block the copied video and give a strike to the user that violated the copyright law (3 strikes = account banned), or let the videos remain (no strike for the user) but put ads on the video in name of the content owner. Probably you are seeing cases of that second alternative.

What sxi said, The video owners have the option to allow you to have their video but their ads will be shown, Did this with about.com.

Of course! I haven't thought about the obvious. Must be that the ads have been put on top of their videos by youtube. Thank you so much guys, great community on BHW.

This brings me to a little follow-up question: I haven't seen any of my uploaded videos showing ads. Does that only happen if you do not dispute the claim by youtube or is it just going to take time until youtube does it? Did anyone here make any similar experience?
As far as I understood, I will only be able to monetize the video in the long run if it clearly does not infringe copyright. Considering these videos being owned by major companies there shouldnt be any chance for me to make money out of it other then redirecting viewers to adsense websites, etc...

On the same topic, do you always clearly see that another account has been banned (showing a sign on the channel, something similar) or is it sometimes possible that nothing has changed regarding its outside appearance?
