Google Ranking

Hi,

Sorry if this has been posted before, i did have a search around before i posted so that i didn't waste time asking but i couldn't find a post that could answer my question!

Anyways, i was wondering if it was possible to be able to rank your site on the first page or near the top of google if searching for a word like 'music' or 'money' something that is searched quite often.

How hard would it be too do this?

I wouldn't put money on it.

The expected return will be huge if you reach top 3, but with 99.9% certainty that won't be the case.

I've ranked for "big boy" one word terms before... It's quite challenging, but entirely doable... You just need the right amount of cash to work with so you can buy tons of high PR links. You will also need a killer strategy so not exactly your SeNuke X kinds of templates, but rather custom strategies.

probably a waste of time and money...your site will probably just get caught by panda or penguin...

What if i wanted my site to rank under my nickname? 'Aceboy' Theres not many searches on there and im already on the 2nd page

I go in and out for jewelry. The highest I ever ranked so far was 79. The longest period of ranking was almost three weeks. A word of advice though. If you rank a common keyword, make sure your site is top notch because chances are that you are going to get a manual review. It is my goal in 2013 to stay in the serps at a decent position for this word.

If you have a store and rank on page 1 for a word like jewelry, shoes, etc., then you will make a great deal of money.
