At first, today is Christmas day, Merry Christmas to everyone!

Our site is a site offers wood stoves for British, it has PR2 since last year. We ranked well last year,if search some keywords, such as, wood stoves, wood burners, etc, their ranking is fifth in google UK. We choose other key words and more long tail words this year and ensure we have more different anchor text instead of the exact anchor text. We have official blog, also write blogs on blogspot, blogcom, weebly, etc, submit website to directory sites and bookmark sites, also write some posts on some forums ( not here, lol ) , we also submit some articles to some pr sites, such as articlebase, apsense, etc. but our site really has poor rank this year, the best ranking is about 70th in google UK, most of keywords rank very bad.( I don't think it was punished by Google) Most of orders are from Google shopping. In fact, it just have several orders.

Btw, the ranking of those keywords is not stable, sometime, some word ranks 200th, it can be 800+ a week latter, why are they not stable? ( We haven't use any black hat trick or skill)

Hey, SEOer, what's wrong with our site? Hope you can tell us and give us some advice and suggestions. Any post will be appreciated!

have you heard about animal updates? stop doing all of these, poor tactics, best choice is to make your site social.

some shopping carts have serious problems with url rewrites. For example gambio often rewrites the url without a history redirect every time you edit a product. check your technical setup, too

It could be anything. Start looking at the onsite stuff. Check your site doesn't have any duplicate content e.g. a gas burning doesn't come under 2 categories and therefore there are 2 identical pages. Check that the keyword densities are less than 2.5%. Then move onto analysing your linkss. See what links have actually stuck as quite a few will get taken down. Then check if those links have actually been indexed.

Once you know this, you will have a better understanding of what is happening. I guess a lot of the links you are building are getting taken down or are not getting indexed so you think you are building lots of links when you're actually not.

I heard of Penguin update. You mean we should pay more attention to social network sites? such as FB, Twitter, Pinterest, etc, don't you?

About the duplicate content, we often found that Google master tool tells us we have Duplicate meta descriptions and Duplicate title tags, are they duplicate content?
We changed them, but Google master tools also tells us we have Duplicate meta descriptions and Duplicate title tags, we didn't change them correctly? I want to know how to change them?

If you send me site url and 1-2 keywords, i can check your site for on page, speed, off page seo, etc. It is free, Christmas gift.

Yeh you want to change everything but with big sites this is virtually impossible to do manually and you need to set up your sites so it does it automatically when you enter your product name and ID. Have a look at a guest post i wrote recently about onsite SEO for e-commerce sites as that talks you through it all and gives you the reasons why:

yeah, our site is Astove UK, our keywords, such as, cast iron stoves, wood burning stoves, multifuel stoves, etc. I can't write exact URL because I am still newbies member. thank you very much! Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone.

I can see the OPs problem straight away the homepage keyword density is too high as stoves and wood are mentioned on the home page at around 6% this needs to be lowered to below 1.5%. Google thinks your keyword stuffing... This is a common mistake with ecommerce sites as I have had the same problems with keyword density and rankings when I was just starting IM my ecommerce site. So all you need to add is a little more text to your homepage to dilute your keywords mentioned. Then your rankings will recover!!! Remember to fetch google bot and wait a week or two.. Your Anchor text ratio is spot on according to majestic seo so there is no worries there!!.. However your domain trust is fairly low so I would recommend the usual BS high PR links. If you know what Private Blog Networks are have a look in the services thread and just get a little package of High PR private blog posts they're around 50-60 dollars which is peanuts in British Pounds. This will further improve your ranks. Other than that your site looks good however you do need to sort out your duplicate meta descriptions out as the Panda could be lurking in a bush....

Sort your homepage keyword density out and your on to a winner!!

So you're saying SEO is not needed? I don't think so.The animal update you are talking is for the one who make BH seo methods on their site.

In addition to the stuffing issue:

The load time is slow.
Try to merge and compress the css and js to reduce load and requests.
Try to reduce the number of images or image sizes - the main page loads appr. 1MB!

very slow load times - just an average site - and needs more information.

would have been fine 12-18 months ago - but these days Google is looking for something more.

Okay, the load of this site is average, you will need to fix that
Also you seems to have some duplicate content, if you can try and fix that.
Your link profile, is okay, but could be improved.
Would be nice if someone can get into your google webmaster to see the overall, it could be anything, but those three fix it.

The word "stove" is overly used on the home page. The density is way too high.
The #1 competitor for the word "stove" has half of the density you are using.

Get rid of the Our Products on the footer. Move it into the main menu next to the Home link as Products. Let your users find what they are looking for easier.

Get rid of the badges at the bottom of the page. They really offer nothing to the user and cause the page to load slow.

Stove is used "58" times on your homepage. I realise its hard to have a website for stoves and not use that term a lot but can you try and water it down with some secondary lsi keywords such as oven, hearth, fireplace, burner, furnace, range etc..

You have 2600 backlinks...are you sure theres no blackhat at all going on ? Anyway I just had a quick look through and you seem to have lots of blog links. This network was seriously devalued in the last two years and I dont see the value of those links anymore.Bookmarks....yeah dont bother me but have very little value.

You appear to have a physical business so you should claim your google places listing.....If you are going to be publishing stove articles get google authorship and claim all of these.

EMD(exact match domain)Sites where hit hard by google. I suspect this is a factor. terms like astove or stoves1-a1stoves etc where the sort of emds that got hit. If you were called Majestic stoves(or similiar) I suspect your rankings would have remained stable.

I am only having a quick look at the site but its all about selling and you need to have a serious social presence. You dont even seem to have a facebook page, you need to get that sorted.

So anyway you are putting lots of effort into getting things done but you need to be giving google what it wants right now you should be promoting yourself on facebook and your product is perfect for a pinterest stoveporn page. Dont worry about blogging try some youtube videos instead.
