7,000 pages views 0 conversions --- Is this right?

Started a new blog 2.5 months ago. I'm up to 7,000 page views this month, yet none of the 4 affiliate programs I'm pushing on the site have converted even one time. They've got clicks, just no conversions.

How many page views should I expect before getting a conversion? I'm ready to give up. Not making even one cents is not very encouraging after months of work.

There is no magic number of pageviews that leads to conversions.

You may want to look at:

1. How your site is set up - Is it easy to find the products you are selling? How well are you preselling the products? Does your site provide utility to users? If you're CTR is low, the quality of the offer won't matter (however, you mentioned you are getting clicks so this probably is not the issue)
2. The offers you are promoting - Obviously, some offers convert better then others so you may want to reevaluate the ones you are promoting. If you are getting a ton of clicks and no conversions, the offer is probably bad.
3. Your traffic source - Not all traffic/pageviews are equal. Certain kinds of traffic will convert better for different kinds of sites.
4. Your site's analytics - What is your bounce rate? What are your main landing pages? What are your exit pages? What are viewers looking at on your site? Who are your referrers? What country are your visitors from?

Any of the reasons above could be the cause of your lack of conversions. I suggest pinpointing which one it is.

it is not about the numbers imo
perhaps you should get more targeted traffic instead of general traffic.

chances for sale are higher with TT coupled with the right offer and angle of approach.

My traffic is all organic from search engines. Literally 90%+. I've never paid for traffic.

It's 88% US traffic. My bounce rate is 55%. People come in on topical pages. Very few go to the main page. 40% of my visitors are returners. I am updating every day.

I have 2 banners on the sidebar and I mix a few text links within posts.

No, none of those salesman's tricks. It's just an informational blog. I know the content is good because I'm getting good feeback, repeat visitors, and high placement. The banners are getting clicks, each one about 10-20 a day each. Sometimes much higher, but that's the average. The contextual links are getting more clicks than that.

Why don't you replace these banners with Adsense (PPC) ads? That would at least bring you a few bucks a day.

Yes Adsense on at least one of the banners, and if the traffic is like your describing youll do well with them. good CTR? Anyway it all depends on the CPA my friend, you traffic obv doesn't want to pay for what ever your selling on the banners so change it.

Your problem is that you just haven't found the right product to promote, try promoting a product from clickbank with high conversions in a niche that almost everyone needs i have a site that barely gets 30 pageviews a day yet I constantly earn around $100 per week work smarter not harder. I'm pretty sure if I received your traffic I could bump my earnings up around $500 per week or more.
