How to really get verified on twitter?

I know. A lot of people ask this question day to day basis but I see a few members of this site, fiverr and musicians that are not that known verified. So I want to ask you all BHW, what does it take? can anybody help me out I am a musician and this blue tick would help out!

Advertise on BHW
Spend $15,000 on advertising with Twitter. From memory its $5k a month for 3 months minimum.
 
Make a few fake accounts pretending to be you then get in contact with Twitter.

In order to get verified, you basically have to be literally "Famous", which usually follows suit with many followers. If someone is impersonating you, and you have a pretty big following, with many retweets, favorites comments etc... then you also have a chance, but not very likely. The accounts are verified for a reason, and if just anyone could become verified, it would not be the ultimate status of twitter.
 
Go on twitter.com/verified look some people with 400 followers they ain't famous.. There's ways

Twitter used to have a page where anyone could apply to be verified, this was back in 2009ish. As a result there are plenty of "nobodies" who are verified. Twitter pulled the page ages ago.

If you see a verified "nobody", its likely from back then, more than "a super secret method".
 
Someone must know ways or someone on twitter who can help with it, who to email etc
 
Contact your representant. He should contact Twitter and get verified, it is really easy for musicians if you have your songs uploaded.
 
Seriously, become famous, or accrue 500k+ real followers... which would make you famous... There is no simple way to become verified.
Every person on Twitter would have already done it. Any account that is verified with little to no followers/not famous is an error, and from way back.
I wish I could help more, but it's kind of like everyone asking universities for a degree. Without you doing the work to earn it, what would a college degree really mean?

EDIT: Also, it would depend on your band... If it is a band that does shows, has a big following outside of Twitter.. I'd suggest letting them know you have a Twitter. That's an easy way to get followers, and with those followers, you'd get a lot of impressions such as comments retweets and favorites.. which would give Twitter more incentive/reason to verify you.

You are right, I didn't realise it was that difficult I see a lot of Artists in the UK verified and they're not even that popular, probably 1000-2000 people fan base wise. I wonder what it really takes though I heard them talk and say they kept pestering twitter till they got verified, so who do I contact on twitter to get verified, I will continue to contact them I just need the details of where to email etc. I know it's possible just need to show you're an artist
 
yes spend on advertisement and become famous. You ll get verified
