Google places listing doesn't show on maps.

I have 2 verified Google places/maps listings for a client, which are both "Active", but they don't show up in maps results. They don't show when I type in the business name, or "*Service* in *name of city*".

Anyone know what's up?

How recently were they verified. It might be worth trying to go through Google's support network to see if they could help.

Verified about a week. Isn't that how long it takes according to big G? My beef is that I cant find the listing at all. I read that I should still see it even in a pending state if I search the exact business name of phone number.

I'd say wait another week and check. Sometimes things like this take longer than you would think. There's a ton of crap they have to sort through

I just made a G+ Business page for the client and added the place there, too. Now waiting for more postcards :\

You can verify it with phone number, why you are waiting for post card?
And be patient it will show one day. you can write some fake reviews on you Google Places.

Some categories only allow Post card because too many people spam their business over and over because phone verification is easy.

How can I write fake reviews if I don't even see the business on Google places? I even search for the exact business name and nothing comes up.

Ok why would you want to write fake reviews if the listing isn't live?nice way to totally destroy your clients hope of getting anywhere.It can take a while,is the business legit,have you added it as many business directories as possible and started linking to the directory listings?I noticed google has shuffled places around a bit lately.

Can someone let me know if there is an option to verify it via phone. I see 'post card' as the only option listed. I have requested for a post card 3 weeks ago. NO LUCK, then requested again. I am not sure how long should I wait.

The business is legit. How will adding it to directories help my listing actually go live? I got the impression that just helps the rank of the listings, but the listing is not even there.
