You can always buy a .info domain for a buck at godaddy. However, namecheap offers free whois protection

If you're getting your traffic from SEs, you should treat your articles as you would with a lens, blog, etc: I usually do all the web 2.0 stuff; then ping and submit my EA feed - don't forget about this part -; create a document with another version of your article - or even some almost unchanged plr stuff -, submit it to Scribd.com and give a link to your EA article from this new document ( very powerful, particularly if your scribd profile has some weight ). Right now I'm even testing interlinking EA articles, so as to create your own mini-network within EA as you would with Squidoo lenses, but I don't know yet if it's worth it or how it would affect conversions.

No problem.

I used to use Pingoat for my pinging ( much better than pingomatic in my opinion ). Now I use Pingler. You could also use Kping. They have a function where they look every once in a while for updates and ping automatically.

For your feed, go to your favorite submitter. There are a few places you shouldn't miss, though. I submit to those by hand: Feedagg, Feedage and millionrss.com. All powerful and give you fast indexing. Don't forget Jumptags either.

Scribd is a hidden GEM. There are PLENTY of uses for it. Even for some fast money, jumpstarting viral campaigns, etc.

My 2 cents: Article marketing can be good, but don't get carried away. You need plenty of content, wise niche/product/keyword selection and a solid interlinking structure if you really want to make some decent money. Try to automate and outsource as much as you can. Also, try to multiply your efforts as much as you can.

I'm outsourcing all the article creation. I don't have the time to write the articles.
I'll put all the steps from keyword selection to promoting the articles in a document, so it acts like a guideline and I don't forget anything.

Yesterday I didn't make anything from that article. I guess I was lucky and the article showed up on the Recently Approved Articles.

Still, meanwhile no sales were made =/ I've noticed an increase of url clicks since they've been approved.

It's been my experience that if you submit an article to some of of the better article sites it will show up on the first page of google and you will get traffic from it. But it will drop off quickly (usually within 24 hours) if it is not supported by links.

One of the last articles I submitted to associate content was in the number 2 position about 2 hours after I published it. 24 hours later it was at position 8....24 hours later position 18. As you can see the more time that goes by the lower the se ranking.

Another article we posted started in position 3. We built back links to it via social bookmarking sites, other articles sites and squidoo and in 2 weeks we had position 2 and position 4,5,8,9 & 10 with article and book marking sites.

If the keyword research is done correctly and the article is written properly and you build enough links to the article you can get quite a few click throughs

Glad to see you're doing good.

This is what I used to do when I just started ( the bare minimum of what I referred to as "all the web 2.0 stuff" in my first post, and for free ).

Use Digg, Propeller, Furl, ClipClip, Clipmarks - they clip delicious automatically -, Spurl, reddit, feedmarklet, feedage, feedagg, jumptags and millionrss. They're powerful and fast to use. Use slightly different titles and descriptions. Finally, it would be great if you could submit your bookmarks to these same services ( Clip your Digg, for example ) and/or ping and submit the channel feeds of these bookmarking services - faster; remember: wherever you get a feed, why don't you submit and ping? -. Just don't do it all at once. If not, just leave it at that.

Rewrite your article 1 time and submit it to other directories. You can add a link that redirects to your affiliate page on them, but don't forget to add a link to the main article or lens you're promoting. If you're good at rewriting, I believe Article Marketer still has a free service that allows you to submit to a decent number of directories.

Don't worry too much about rewriting for Scribd. It's as noble a site as they come. In any case, a 30% difference with the original is more than good enough. I do this: Change the title, still using your main keyword and a secondary keyword if you can. Write an optimized subtitle. Add a short paragraph - 2 or 3 sentences - at the beginning and another at the end, or just change the existing ones. Take away one paragraph from the middle of the article ( and re-arrenge the others a little if you can ) without making it ilegible. Use many tags and choose them wisely. Two kind of keywords you shouldn't forget about:

- Buying/action oriented keywords

- The ones you get with this trick: search within Scribd for documents with a somewhat general keyword related to your subject : If you're selling iphones, search for "iphone", not "where to buy iphone 3g online". Go to the most popular documents you get from your scribd search and down right you'll see all the keywords people have already used to get to those documents through SEs - check the "stats" tab also -. This info is GOLD. In fact, you could and should use it from the begining.

Get links from non-web 2.0 sites : build free blogs, google and yahoo groups, google pages, etc. Optimize, but don't get anal with uniqueness. The 30% rule you used for scribd should be enough

Squidoo, Hubpages, Zimbio - often overlooked -, Bravenet.com - very powerful and overlooked also- and the sort are great. Actually, I use those as my main pre-sell as they are more flexible, and back it up with articles, etc.

If you feel like it, make a slideshow with the content from your article and submit it to YT or go to Tubemogul ( I prefer to do YT manually in any case, so that I can fine tune it )

It looks like a lot to be done manually, but it isn't. Just structure and interlink your assets wisely - primary, secondary, etc assets - and don't go crazy with uniqueness, but don't get lazy either. In any case, links should pour in time, not all at once. Develop a method and you should be fine. Also, trust the power of the web: if you're going after a somewhat popular subject, your feeds and videos - and articles, of course- will start getting republished in time.
