to flip or not to flip

I need help deciding weather it would be better for a complete noob to flip sites or to buy a few and keep them up and running .

My goal is to make a sustainable income with little useage of time as mine is very limited .

Flipping requires start up capital and its not steady money.
I would suggest concentrating on getting a few websites working good and bringing in some cash before you
think about the quick money of flipping.

Well first I think it will be very difficult for a newcomer to make money flipping sites..

Second very few can make money online without time spent working on the net...

If you can find sites making money will be your best option - but then again they need time spent on updating and keeping current!

The IM world is not cut out for folks with no time to work on IM!

Im fine with spending some time working on the sites to build them up and i was figuring on buying already running sites that were showing profits . I have seen on flippa sites that were totally automated is that truely possible ?

Very, very rare. Even rarer on Flippa.

I would start by building a small niche site from the ground up. Not only will this slowly force you to learn all there is to know about websites and IM but it is not too risky, requires a low amount of capital and not too much time if you do not have huge revenue or growth expectations. Once you learn a lot about online business then you will be better equipped to know as to which websites/businesses and domain names are worthwhile to flip if that is the next route you so choose to explore.

I have a buddy that does some flipping. He says it takes some capital, patience, and some luck. He has sat on sites for years and had both very profitable and losses from that. There is some risk to it, but with a little luck and experience it can become profitable.

so being as you said very very rare and even rarer on flippa it must mean that there are better sites to buy sites on could you please advise me on these sites ?
