I think it's all about positive thinking, basically. Books like "The Secret" are really just exercises in thinking positively.

I'm very conscious in general. Probably one of the reasons why I was interested in the law of attraction. I'm not really sure what the study of "human consciousness" is about, but I will definitely look into that. Thanks for the tip.

Would you recommend looking into the "The Secret" book/movie? I know there's a book but wasn't really aware of the movie...

I watched the secret but check out other sources. The Secret was kind of a sensationalized intro. I havent really read other books but some of the stuff i have read suggests that though.

I have tried law of attraction in my life and it worked well. I was trying to win a National medal in a Chess Tournament for 3 years and things were not working for me, but in the 4th year, I tried something different, I used The Law of Attraction. I used to literally imagine myself with the medal around my neck. I would see myself roaming around with the medal. I would feel happy about the same. I also used some positive affirmation. All this motivated me to give my best in the National Tournament and I went on to be the joint Gold Medalist. There were certain things which were almost same as I had seen myself in past and it brought tears into my eyes. It was on that day I started believing in Law of Attraction. I have watched "The Secret" movie many times and each time I see the video, I find something new.
Those who know about Jim Carey's life would also know that he signed a 10 million Dollars check on his name in 1991. He said to himself that I would have this amount in my bank account within 3 years and believe it or not in 1994 he signed a multi-million dollar deal with a big production house. In 1991, he was almost bankrupt.

Oprah, Mohammad Ali and Will Smith are some other celebrities who have used it and found it beneficial.

He has preserved that check till date. I have watched almost all his videos available on YouTube and he never bores me. Actually, he teaches me how to live life laughing and making others laugh. In this fucked up world, I am glad that we have someone like Jim who is awesomely dedicated to make people laugh.

It's true, but there is nothing mystical, spiritual, or religious about it ... it's just staying focused and getting shit done. Too many lazy people watch stuff like this and just sit on there couch all day meditating. An enlightened couch potato is still a couch potato, and nothings going to fall in your lap without any real action and goal setting.

What Law of Attraction claims is that one's thought materialize into actual possession. In my opinion no sane man will buy that claim.

The Secret and Law of Attraction is not my cup of tea..

Law of atraction is part of your brain training, allways focused, allways positive, allways close your eyes and imagine yourself in that situation, how you feel, who are with you (friends)... It's a mind map!
