Can someone make a living from AC?

I think to run it full time, we need at least 20 active accounts submittin 5 articles in each. So 100 articles daily. 50% accepted, it will be 50 articles x around $2 each = $100.

$3000 a month will be a good piece. :)

Add around 3 verified paypals in there...why verified? Cse it will be much safer...ur FULL TIME income is gonna go there ;)

PS : Thanks everyone that are still contributing to this thread :D

Only 50% accepted? Is that average?

I'd be horrified if I had such a poor acceptance rate.

When I start paying rewriters i'll be looking for 80% minimum.

Also why is 3 paypals necessary? I was under the impression 7 emails per account was fine? Or are Paypal going to flag an account if too much money goes through it?

(Sorry if these are bone questions, trying to get my nut round this before I fuck it up)

I get a 90%+ acceptance rate, but I do my own content. (No, I don't manually write it, I use the translation method, then spend a few minutes editing it.)

You're still getting paid to the same name. It doesn't matter what email you use, it will say "paid to *your pp name*". Personally I have 10 confirmed pp accounts, one for each AC account. (I use them for other things too though) It's not that difficult. You can buy a VCC here to confirm your account for 8 bucks (2 of which will get deposited back into your pp). If you don't have any money, use one non-verified account to get your first $8, verify it, then do another one, ect...

Always remember to proxify everything. ;)

Ok, I understand how some would want to use multiple accounts due to certain circumstances, but is there a specific problem with using just one account? I can easily write up 20 to 30 or more articles a day (original, re-written, translated, etc.) so is it just not good to submit all these articles from one account?

Some post yes, some post no. Does anyone know FOR CERTAIN if it's ok or not? Personally, it's less work for me to write up a mass of articles than it is to sort out multiple accounts. ;)

AffGuy08 I'm determined to make a living off this exact thing. I have no intent to outsource anything, at least until I have achieved the satisfaction of earning cash by the sweat of my own brow first. My goal is a minimum of $2,000 for the next 30 days, starting today as a complete newbie. I consider it ambitious, but attainable, with absolutely no evidence to back up this belief - just blind faith that my stubborn nature will suffice.

I'll keep you posted if I make any significant progress, or at least learn any information you might find enlightening.

Oh yah and wish me luck

just use fake info, and a paypal account with a nickname, and you will be fine.

i got nailed for submitted like 10 articles a day. it was a real pain; i had paid to outsource lots of articles. now i'm kind of afraid to start with new accounts and such, plus i'm not sure if i feel like dealing with proxies and stuff. or maybe that's not necessary? i dunno.

I'll be the guinea pig.

I have no intention to muff with proxies, multiple accounts and aliases. As of right now that looks like a drain on my time with no apparent justification.

Good, bad, or ugly... I'll post the results.

p.s. to clarify I'm American, and writing all my own submissions

The reason to split your articles to a few accounts are good to get fast reviews by the editors in AC. If u have one account with daily 20 articles, the reviews will be done late and the $$ for each article will decline. Furthermore it is safe to write on 2-3 topics in each account so it doesn't look too obvious that you are rewritting the articles.

My 2 cents ;)

@Aaron! - I will be keeping an eye on your progress, best of luck buddy :)

@seamusmcaffrey - To be safe now, start by rewritting yourself and see how it goes.

i must say i've been enjoying this thread and the opinions expressed in here, it is quite interesting. well my take is that for those who are still in doubt about WHY to use multiple accounts, etc.. i would advise that by all means TRY to use multiple accounts, especially if you find yourself tempted to use just 1 account and you want to submit many articles. all if not most opinions are pointing to the fact that multiple accounts will save your ass regardless of what comes your way really. be on the safe side if u have to ... multiple totally separate pp accounts will equally serve you well, YES i know it is a pain and that some of you can't afford it, but can u afford to be nailed for depending on 1 account ?? No, you Can't really afford that either !

you don't have to read this part . . . . but as a rule of thumb, if you find yourself being unsure and anxios about something, asking yourself whether it works or Not, or looking for a "definite" answer where one cannot be readily provided, ALWAYS have a Plan-B of your own (have your OWN plan-b, Not someone elses!). Don't compromise and do NOT take a shortcut or cross your fingers, just put in place a plan-B, even if it's a little bit, Ok. I am saying this cuz when YOU go down, you're going down ALONE. You can't really seek comfort or refuge in others when you go down.

So just Minimize your risk and try to stay balanced, and be disciplined, it is a very fundamental law of success.. in my opinion, when you're in this business, and you're doing anything that's Not nicely balanced, there is already an element of "greed" in your actions because you're looking too much on ONE side... and this is the sort of thing that often leads to a catastrophic failure! In simpler words.. DONT be so LAZY as to try and make $100 per day by doing ABSOLUTELY nothing on your part while you have "others doing so much" on your behalf. So all I am saying guys is ... don't make a mockery of AC :)

Oh yah and wish me luck

I just got offered $0.99 for a rewrite... Good Luck!!!

Just to give a snapshot of my relative n00bishness:

I just now figured out that Associated Content is one website, and not a category of websites...

Now I can actually try to submit an article, heh.

Oh yeah, and, I guess what I'm doing is totally whitehat, as far as I can tell, so using multiple accounts / proxies etc. would actually be increasing my risk by unnecessarily making me look shady when I'm not. The speed issue is one I had not considered. I will have to try both ways if I really want a fair comparison though.

if you get 0.99 per article then you need to change the TOPIC of your article. have you tried writing your articles on these topics

(1) Computer Tips, Photoshop tricks, etc
(2) Reviews on Computers, laptops, gadgets, accessories, etc
(3) Computer Software and Hardware Support Articles
(4) Review on some late model release of digital camera, technology, etc

I got the articles as samples to test someone's rewritting :)

It was about gardening and at first I thought it will make good $$..lol

No i didn't write anything on that topics before.

what is a good price to get articles outsourced at, if you don't mind my asking?

I wouldn't pay more than a dollar. A rewrite takes 5 minutes, $12 an hour is more than enough for a bit of writing ;)

I think, there is no restriction on publishing limits. I believe one can send as many articles as one could because CA says: the more you publish the more you can earn!

(I am just a newbie, it is just a wild guess)
