Thanks to this website I've learned SO MUCH in a short amount of time and working on generating leads for local businesses with a few demand niches I've discovered. The question is how important is video marketing compared to SEO (google maps, social media, blogs, articles, etc) ? I don't have a webcam and I've read some great post about purchasing a flipcam and going out in the field and approaching businesses. I'm pretty good at social media and blog content such as adding "how to do" tips for that specific niche. What's the best webcam at walmart? I don't have much funds . thanks

Video marketing is where it's at, or at the very least where it will be. Since videos are so easy to rank, I agree that it's a great idea to do both. I think the earlier you can get into doing video for clients the better off you'll be.

Here are some great stats about using video marketing for small business if you want to take a look. Plain and simple, people are much more likely to watch a video than read some text, and the trust factor is huge with video.

Hi,

Check out some of my tutorial videos here http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...site-google-2-hour-video-tutorial-series.html

No camera required just a half decent mic, screen capture software and the knowledge/passion to do it!

They have been very well recieved and I have noticed that people tend to respond better to my video based tutorials than my written tutorials. I don't know why that is as I prefer to read than watch videos personally, i've instantly closed many a video only sales page in my time!

Quick question.

Which video sites do you use for marketing? YT seems to be the most common but if you have other suggestions, I am all ears. Thank.

I've had good rankings with Vimeo and Daily Motion too

Video Marketing and SEO are pretty much the same thing. Using keywords to rank your video = SEO

The crucial difference is, with YT and other vid sites you can get good targeted traffic from within its internal site search engine, and thus don't have to rely on Google ranking. This is crucial in cases where G de-ranks or de-indexes sites, because with video marketing you have a non-Google based way of continuing to get traffic. Some people get as much traffic from a YT campaign as they would from an SEO-only based site.

Great article referenced in here... If you have any clients that are on the fence about video, then this is a great tool that may push them over...
