How do I put up a meme comics website?

Hello,

I know that I can use WordPress to put one up. However, with so many images as individual posts... doing it manually isn't the most effective way. Scraping is perhaps the best option. What tool do I use? Will I be able to scrape the images and their corresponding post titles? Will I be able to upload them all on Fb, as individual posts? Can I also at once set them to dripfeed over a period of time?

Any advice or help on this will go a long way.

- I use 'images 2 posts' plugin. It will allow you to upload multiple images at once and create a post from each one. Rename the files from 'f32rf2rf.jpg' to 'Funny Post Title.jpg' (example). This will make the post with that as title. Set all to draft.
-Then I use 'Draft Scheduler' plugin to automate the images from Draft to Publish status.
-Then I bought 'Next Scripts: Social Networks Auto Poster' plugin (free version is available). This plugin will automatically publish your posts to many social networks.
- For scraping I use 'TumblRipper' /blackhat-seo/member-downloads/499592-get-tumblripper-scrape-all-photos-tumblr-blog-4-your-instagram-tumblr-pinterest.html
-Write your own titles, add tags, write funny comments

This way I can make enough posts and do this once a month, then on fb and other networks I spend time posting, commenting, etc

I must be missing something obvious here, but I scratched my head over that in the last 5 minutes and all I got were two palms of LOTS of hair.

I not sure if the wordpress CMS would be the best idea for a meme site.

You should search for a epiclol.com / 9gag script.

Well its not 100% necessary to rename the files.
But the way the plugin works. When you upload a pic called '524rfwetrw23t.jpg' it will then create a post called '524rfwetrw23t'. IMO its easier to rename files then posts. Convenience is mostly why I do it that way. Besides for a funny joke image type site, I like to get some Google images hits to a pic easier to one called 'moon walking cat.jpg' then 'e5y5y5th.jpg'

So that plugin will make image name = title name

It sure does... I'm going to give it a go. I'll update how the site set-up goes, when it's up finally.

The only thing I'm yet to figure out is how to add pictures of arrows on both sides of the images/posts so people can navigate to previous/next links.

Update: So I woke up early today and decided to move my arse into high-gear and get something productive done. I have set up the stuff using the plugins suggested by hadoken here (to whom I'm very very thankful, and will forever be ). I've put up a test website, and scheduled 7 posts (each 2 hours apart) which should start at midnight (14.Jan.2013 my time, I'm guessing). I'll report back how it works in about 24 hours from now.

I'm hoping this will work... and work good it should.

I haven't tried the scraper yet (downloaded 7 images manually).
