[TUT] Make Amazon Sites That Convert

Hey LBrown,

You mentioned something about limiting ads to around one or risk being flagged as a thin affiliate site, this is in the eyes of google from an automated spider/AI's perspective, or a manual review?

out of 100 people that come to your site, how many will buy a product on amazon? can you give an estimate, so i can calculate which keywords might be good to use.
thank you for this great thread

It varies so much between niches, seasons, price points, etc. And if I tried to run the numbers for you right now it would be very skewed because it is Christmas. My best advice is to build a bunch of sites and then you'll get a feel for what's normal.

Do you suggest having a different webpage for each blog?

Or is it possible to have a single webpage linking to all your blogs, on the same domain?

EG: url/xxx1

The reason I ask is I'm worried search engines wont find xxx1 xxx2 xxx3 as easy as they might find the original webpage, am I correct?

For arguments sake lets say all the xxx's are different models of cars and the main site is a Car information site.

Thanks

If you build external links to all of the pages that you want Google to find then Google will find them.

From a spider/AI perspective. I don't worry about manual reviews.

Hmm.. So does this mean that if my intention for a site is to make $ from Amazon Affiliates in the first place, and if I go the decent 'authority' route - build the site out slowly with TLC, I'm going to be basically wasting my time, money, and effort because big G is going to see those affiliate links and will slap down my site anyway? Oh and great post by the way!

Google doesn't slap you for having affiliate links. There are ways to build affiliate sites that Google loves. Google loves content and Google doesn't like each page to be loaded with affiliate links (although it can be done, it is more difficult to rank). My site set up that I've outlined here is content heavy and affiliate link light and is certainly suitable for so-called "authority" sites.

So the more affiliate links a page has that google detects, the greater the points Google will apply against that page?

Thanks a tons LBrown for your neat tactic :D Thanked and rep-ed from me!

One question that keeps flying around my mind is how you'd approach the route of building small EMD affiliate sites these days after all the updates from Google? Isn't it true that Google penalized EMD sites? How could we start building something if we know that it's doomed right from the get-go?

Thanks!

Thanks again, Rep sent ur way. Loads of help this thread :)

You don't need to use EMDs for this to work. However, the idea that any EMD you build is doomed is a fallacy. The EMD update did not penalize EMDs. It took away some of the extra value of EMDs. This meas that sites that had poor external links and were ranking mostly on the EMD bonus were the ones that were effected. EMDs with with a strong link profile are still doing well.

Thanks for explaining that to me :D

You talked about strong backlink profile. Could you please give me some ideas of how your link profile looks like with your micro niche sites (mostly what kinds of links and how you diversify your anchor texts)? In addition, how many articles do you use to start with your niche sites?

Thanks!

Thanks a lot for sharing. Hope this will increase the earnings

There's a ton of great info on this elsewhere. I don't go into my backlinking strategies too much because 1) they are constantly evolving and 2) I can't/don't explain them in a newb friendly way.

I recommend looking up Scritty here on BHW and absorbing everything he has to say on the matter. Although he and I don't do everything the same you really can't go wrong following his advice.

Thanks for the idea mate . Can i use this idea also on ebay ?

Hi LBrown, I read your whole your thread already and it's really inspire me. Im not understand clearly at the hosting point. How many sites will be placed in a host? and I read that you dont create unique articles, just scrape , spin and mix them together to have the new one?

So I'm guessing that would be true for any affiliate link, I need to NO FOLLOW all my affiliate links across all sites? OUCH!!! that's gonna cost a few days :(
you coul replace it all at one bunch via mysql and phpmyadmin.

Your hosting needs will be based on your traffic. I don't usually have more than a dozen sites on one account.

I do all sorts of things for content creation. Do whatever you feel like, just be sure to test everything.

Has to be one of the most helpful threads I have read, Thank you
