Nokia Lumia 900 OR Samsung Galaxy Note II

Hey guys, I'm getting a new phone tomorrow as I'm recontracting the 3G line. Which one of the above should I go for?

Lumia 920 is what I will get in the near future.

The Lumia 900 and the Note 2 are two very different phones in almost every way. The Note 2 being (for now) top of the line, running the latest Android OS and some of the latest hardware while the Nokia only supports Windows 7.5 afaik. I'd really recommend trying out the Windows Phone 7.5 interface as much as you can before jumping in feet first. Have you had a Windows based phone in the past? Android?

I wrote a semi lengthy post (Link on bottom of post) last night on the Note 2 and Pros/Cons as far as IM and Business usage. Even though I do sell phones as a day job for Verizon, I can't honestly give you a decent review on using Windows Phone 7.5 in such a way because I really haven't had the chance to try it yet.

Bear in mind the Windows Phone App Selection isn't quite as extensive as iPhone's App Store or Android's Google Play Store. Also, The Lumia 900 isn't exactly a powerhouse when it comes to the processor capabilities... But I don't really know what you're planning on using the phone for, So that's going to be up to you to consider. Also, It's already a bit dated and from what I know will not support Windows 8.

Better prefer Android OS (Galaxy Note 2)..Performance wise Samsung is better than Nokia

Don't buy Lumia 900, you can't upgrade to windows phone 8. Buy Lumia 920 instead.

I was actually torn not between the 900 and the Note II, but the 920 against the Note 2.

My present phone is a iPhone 4S, and I did have experience with the Sony Xperia X10 a year or two back.

Nice, but I'm in Singapore, and if I do trade in my phone it would incur a $250 renewal fee, so I'm looking to make the "right" choice
