You need to walk before you can run. The questions you're asking give a clue to your experience. I would start a simple wordpress blog about a topic you enjoy, then start learning everything else about how to get traffic and monetize.

I agree with the above poster. You have two options here. You either learn everything there is to know about making money online and things of that nature and then make a site based on that. You can also just make a site for fun and learn as you go. Which ever way you choice it will not be easy but should be fun and rewarding.
