[Help] - Should i get a VPS now?

if you have the skills to manage a vps, then go for it. just take the cheapest package first and upgrade when you need more resources.

btw, those vps packages... for that price you could get a lot more bandwidth. (usually 1000GB monthly bandwidth)

I think you would do better on a vps server. Intovps is a fantastic vps provider. I use them myself.

I smell self promotion. Dude, OP has mentioned he's getting VPS for 1/4 of the lowest plan by the provider you have mentioned.

The shared hosting you have is super cheap, moving to a decent VPS with a control panel is gonna cost a lot more. A lot of cheap VPS companies fall off and go under...

Thanks for the replies guys. Got few recommendations as well from other forums im a member with:
- get reseller package instead - found a $10/mo package here with nice space & bandwidth
- get managed vps (but will cost more) - found a provider here with ~$15/mo package which i think is suitable for my needs
- get another cheap but reliable shared hosting again. My current providers are cheap but very reliable. Maybe because of their fixed features which makes them not overused and abused.

anyway, im still weighing my options. 4 of my 5 amazon affiliate sites just got slapped by big G two days ago. My daily 300uv were wiped out :( Im only relying on yahoo/bing & pinterest traffic at the moment.

also, I've just read here a hosting promo offering 1GBP yearly package with a limited but nice size and b/w. Most likely i will get it if my traffic picks up again. it's just 1 pound anyway. hehe

If you have no clue how to manage a server, you might want to consider a Managed VPS. For your budget you won't find any VPS for around that price. Also don't forget you have to install a control panel, apache, php, and make sure your VPS is secured. Otherwise its going to be a huge headache for you. Go with a reseller account and ask the host if it will be a problem with the traffic you are receiving.
