thats true but depend for the purpose, sometimes cheap hosting are more than enough for experiments

I see, that's the only place you can find them.

Anyway, I think you can lose much more than that $1. What if they just disappear with all your website content without any backup. Even if it's just a site for "testing purposes", it still costs you time.

It's stated on their site's footer that they are part of the Host Media Group, a UK registered trading company. If that's true then i think it is ok. Their storage and bandwidth are also limited/fixed so they are not overused or abused which is a good thing. I also found that host media offers premium hosting and vps packages.

Not really. Deals like this are ideal to get IP diversity for a private a blog network or just a decent backlink. If you have a spare domain, forward it to this hosting and throw up some unique articles with a backlink to your money site. Will cost a few quid in total and a lot more effective than a backlink coming from an article directory.

I always use these kind of hosting for small blogs stuff .
