im building a new website, and dont have much time, so does anyone have experience cloning a site design?

any software or techniques.

thanks

Seorank,

You could always approach it the manual way and simply copy and paste all of the related HTML, CSS, JS and any other files associated with the site. Of course you will not be able to see any server side scripting that the website has in place.

You could also try looking into this tool,

Hope that helps,

Shawn

Wptwin does the job for wordpress based sites.

This is what I do usually. Either save page as in firefox and download the html/css, etc. or use httrack. I would recommend having photoshop so you can tweak the design and images to not look like a complete knock off.

You can also use fiverr and have someone do a clean download for you. A lot of times there's a bunch of stuff you really don't need.

Copying sites has actually helped me to get better at designing my own sites. Sometimes I will take the bare bones CSS and HTML of a site if I'm being lazy and build it out from there.
