Hey, does someone know how can I increase (or get ANY) PR?
I mean like PR1-2-3 not higher..

How do you guys get PR?
I know the thing is to get links from pages with PR already, but how do you do that?

BTW, I only care for the PR, the ranking does not matter to me. (if there's some spammy way or anything..)

Thanks!

You need three things for that. Quality content, quality backlinks plus some patient. Google is not updating PR as frequently as before.

My content is 100% unique.
What sort of backlinks are you using for that?

Factors i consider quality content and links, less outbound links, does my site info satisfy search users and update is a kind of random its already over now i suppose ..

I would suggest you to go for exchanging with some guys. This is a effective and legal way to proceed.Soft generation could risk your site.

Chasing PR is a waste of your times and resources...

There are so many more important business areas to attend with your time and money!

i just say you need to search here and you get many thread like that and log of help no need to open smiler threads again n again

If you want to up your PR just get some comment links from High PR blog pages. To be on the safe side do these manually, or use one of the quality BST's here. Do Not blast your site with AA high PR Scrapebox blasts, I've personally seen some very nasty results due to it. A few of those links and you're PR will jump to 2-4 in no time.

@ IamBlackhatter

Ah, be sure and investigate keeping your outbound links too low, as it does factor into your overall authority and PR value.

The reason those sites that people call authority sites have reached that level is because they support just as many outside resources as they do internal...it is all about information, which is what google is all about in the first place.

That is their business...leading clients to the information they are searching for. They would rather have reference than a sales page any day.

Not trying to bust your chops here or anything, just stating the point that it is actually a solid business practice to promote MORE outbound links...just keep them clear of linking to your money pages, so that the traffic doesn't follow them offsite.

Food for thought.

Thank you for the informative post OP

PR is not really important . Do good seo and PR will come :)

I do manual backlinks on high PR sites for my clients. Works every time. It does take time, but at the end you get what you wanted in the ifrst place. I am just sayin'...

PR is not connected with first page (it is, but it take more then this). And for the first part of your question, you will know if your PR is higher after the next Google update (I think it should be in March or something like that). If you get 30 high PR backlinks (do I have to say links should be do-follow?) in 4 months time frame that is going to be enough to reach the next step. If you're PR0 you will end up being PR1, maybe PR2, it really depends. maybe you'll stay PR0 but that's less likely.

Actually, that is a common misconception, as if you want to build a real authority site status, it takes pagerank to do so, as it is still the point system google uses just for that reason.

It doesn't effect your direct SEO and direct marketing as much for getting ranked into google for the page position in natural search by direct ' quantity ' link building methods that worked back in 2005.

However, it does work if you want to establish credibility as an authority content and resource site in the given niche you are going after and DOES impact rank and position in the natural search, it is simply more so over long-term quality and longevity, not overnight boosting results.

It is simply google taking out the trash of the day, as anyone does.

@ SkyrocketSEO - good point.

It isn't ' directly ' connected to search result page and spot positioning - at first glance. However, it is still connected on the outskirt authority measure of the ranking of that site and fast the direct content is actually indexed over time, which in turn, then actually does directly effect the natural search results from then on.

It still plays a big part in the overall scope and in knowing that, it can be utilized to enhance your results in the long run.

Exactly people say PR is useless but then why is PR even tracked anymore? it gives a "relative" base of how important or authoritative a site might be... Also OP said he didnt care about rank and Pr does not equate to rank however PR in and of itself is of value.

If it werent then all of these guys right here on BHW with colorful names would not be posting private blog network posts for sale and advertising "Hey dudes, I have pr x pr y and pr z sites" that all of you buy. :) In fact MAYBE that is why OP wants PR anyway, becaue he knows he can sell links on a high PR site.... Just sayin'

You can make a guest post on high pr blogs (but your post should be useful to be approved by blog owners) or you can buy such links
