SEO Blueprint 2012 - Complete Guide for Ranking a Website In Google

Write 30 unique descriptions about your website, about the keyword or about the general niche. Anything from 10 to 20 words is perfect for the length of descriptions.

Very great and informative post. But can someone please explain this portion more clearly? Say for example I'm using wordpress. Where exactly do these descriptions go, and and what would be some good examples of text?

In other words, say I have a website which sells Oranges, and I create a wordpress blog with an article on Oranges that I want to direct to my OrangeFoods website. Where would these descriptions go, and what would be good examples?

Thanks!

Hey River,

Is clear that you are just starting in this business and I will give you some basic help.

Descriptions are for the websites that lets you create a bookmark, put a text and a link. These are called Social Bookmarks backlinks. In my OP you can see a list of this kind of sites. If you have any questions feel free to ask, I know it's hard at start.

Hey great post. Thanks.

I have one quick question. I'm creating social bookmarks, but what links should I collect? I've created accounts and to make them look less spammy and more real, i've bookmarked a few links from other (mostly authorative sites, like wikipedia, etc) to blend it a bit.

The only links I find on most sites is something like this.

www.diigo.com/user/xxxxxxx
blinklist.com/users/xxxxxxxx

There are no links on a lot of these sites that only contain my URL, it only contains the list of all the bookmarks I've added. Is it these links I should collect and backlink? Thanks.

You should collect the pages that shows your backlinks and are hyperlinked (it gets to your website when clicked). To identify bookmarks you can search by tags you added or just use the profile page that shows all of your bookmarks.

Hi Kimi,

awesome post, thank you very much for sharing
Most of the Web 2.0 and bookmark pages are primary for the English or US market
Do you think these blueprints also work for german sites same effectively?

Best regards,
Mike

Yes. For ranking on google.de it will be natural to have at least 10% of your backlinks from .de domains. For the other backlinks, web 20 and bookmarks that are in english, you need to take care of keeping your backlinks alive.

Hi Kimi,

thanks for your fast reply!

do they tend to delete links to German sites easier/faster?

If you post english content and just drop a link here and there to some foreign website it will be fine. But if you are going to post some german articles or foreign language articles it will be reported and deleted, because that is completetly irrelevant content. However, you may find some properties that are not highly moderated and still stick with your german article but the best bet would be to link your .de website from english articles.

That's the problem with newbies. They don't know what to ask about and they waste others time with this kind of questions.

i am sorry for wasting your time, but as you said in the opening of this thread you were a newbie too in 2008
a simple yes/no would have been enough

It's not about wasting my time. When I was a starter I wasn't having these kind of questions, you don't get valued information from these kind of questions. Think about good questions and with every question you will have a progress with your journey.

Thanks Kimi for the post. I have a website with 11 keywords to rank. I know that you asked to repeat the process for each keyword. My question is:

when I finished with the first keyword, I have many web 2.0 and blogs with good content. Is it better to start over again (new accounts, new web 2.0, new blogs) or just repost a fresh article to each of the already created blogs and web2.0 with a link to the second keyword? I need an answer to this because I just finished with my tier 1 for the first keyword and will soon go to promote the second keyword.

Thanks in advance for your answer.

You can get much value by creating new ones. Also, by linking from a web 2.0 blog that you used before to link to homepage it can be a possible footprint if you choose to link on other pages rather than homepage.

edit: Actually, your article was so good I opened two tabs. :peace:

Hi Kimi,

at step 8, I notice we have to submit to 40 web directories but I do not see the list. Are you talking about web profile directories? I am asking because it's the last thing I have to do in my tier 1 and I don't want to mess all the work i have already done. If not, please explain.
