I second this, I use it and wouldnt have anything else. It makes it very easy to download and save vids from all video sites.

I use VideoDownload toolbar. You can get the videos with a click, save them automatically in flv. You just browse youtube, and download automaticaly.
They all stay stored in a folder for you to work on later.

I use Internet Download Manager it downloads any media files even videos from porn sites..

I ran flv just find, you could always find a free player floating around the net

VLC plays flv files fine. I prefer SMPlayer over it though.

edit: I have occasional problems with playback and scanning on VLC, but never had a problem with SMPlayer.

Hey Guys,

I have downloaded plenty of videos from youtube, mostly educational.
I use this site hxxp://keepvid*com to download video either in flv or mp4 format. And often there is a need to convert them to avi or 3gp format to play them in DVD player or cellphone.
I have tried several video converters but have found Ultra Video Converter to be the best(the quickest and also supports almost any format).

i have been using it for about 2 years i believe and they have a nifty add on that displays a download link next to the video description.... plus it has some other nifty features too

still prefer firefox but makes using ie7 much more bearable

Save it as a bookmark and click on it when your on the youtube video page. Its a bookmarklet for anyone that doesn't know what those are. Make sure your on High Quality before clicking on it.
